Marion County

Help today's youth become tomorrow's leaders in Marion County! Our goal is to send youth to 4-H State Shotgun Championships this year! Please consider supporting the youth of Marion County in this endeavor. No matter the project, Alabama 4-H in Marion County grows confident young people with the life skills to thrive in today’s world and succeed in their boldest dreams for tomorrow. At nearly 160,000 members and participants strong, Alabama 4-H is the largest youth development organization in the state of Alabama. Supported by families, partners, staff, volunteers, and youth, we have the strength and capacity to grow young people with the confidence, curiosity, and life skills to become college, career, and family ready. Alabama 4-H, part of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, has expanded its resources to include not only traditional programs, such as 4-H livestock judging and 4-H competitive events, but also new opportunities as well. 4-H offers a variety of clubs in Marion County for youth to become involved in their community. These are just a few of the many ways your gift can provide endless smiles in today’s Alabama 4-H. Help young people and their families gain the skills needed to be a proactive force in Marion County and to develop ideas for a more innovative world. “I strongly believe that two of the greatest things 4-H has taught me is to value and appreciate the differences in people; and that it is my responsibility and privilege to help others through service.” Marion Bell2020-21 Alabama 4-H State Ambassador

Please consider supporting these youth by contributing funds or becoming a 4-H volunteer. Youth start out with the genesis basic bows and move up to more advanced compound bows. We need funds to help sustain this growing club. Youth are learning life skills as well as perfecting their archery skills at each club meeting. This group meets with our two trained and certified 4-H Archery coaches every Friday. Please consider supporting the youth of Marion County!-Rebecca Danley, 4-H Agent
