My fundraising goal is just $100 - no donation is too big or too small...thank you for your support. Clyde Spencer

When I moved to Portland, one of the first things I did was to go to the skatepark, of course. There were some rad skaters there who have maxed out the space. It was crowded and small and just not enough room for the grinders and the newbies, even though they skated in peace and gave each other space. Having been to the original BIG O in Orange CA, and the Concrete Wave in Anaheim and numerous parks in Colorado and Cali sense then, I wanted to see these kids have a higher caliber of park to shred. So I am donating my time and efforts to bring this to fruition. We've helped other towns in Maine reach their skatepark fundraising goals, helped with the initial park build, and now it's time to expand one of Portland's busiest parks! As Long's Board Shop we worked to kick off fundraising with the City of Portland Parks Division at the February rail jam in Payson Park. As Portland residents and skaters we're fundraising through this page. For more on the Portland skatepark expansion click here. In August of 2017 I suffered a head injury after a collision with a biker. I was lucky, and healed quickly, but others might not be. I've witnessed multiple collision related injuries at the Portland Skatepark, as a result of a lack of space for the amount of people that use it. An expansion of the Portland Park would not only provide more obstacles for people to use, but could also assist in solving this dangerous problem.
