Paul Seidensticker We are raising awareness and funds for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in loving memory of Edgar “Paul” Seidensticker who passed away December 2, 2012. He was 68 years old. This amazing husband, father, and opa was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2010. Paul lived his life to the fullest, determined to enjoy every minute he had by continuing his favorite activities of hunting, fishing, playing golf, and traveling with his wife, Pat. Three weeks before his death, Paul acquired a severe case of pneumonia that ultimately stole his last breath from him. He showed amazing strength and courage up until the very end. Richard Johnson Please make a donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of Richard Johnson, our beloved father, who lost his 6-year battle to pulmonary fibrosis on 4/19/2018. Rick was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2012, and subsequently developed pulmonary fibrosis as a sequelae of RA. He valiantly fought a long battle, attempting multiple immunosuppressant therapies to prevent the progression of his lung disease. Rick was a very active individual, and up until his most recent illness was walking 1-2 miles a day. He loved healthy living and exercise, and promoted this way of life to everyone who crossed his path. Rick adored music and cherished well-written lyrics, he was known to always have a song to describe different journeys he had taken in his life. He is survived by his two daughters, who hope that this memorial fund will provide individuals with pulmonary fibrosis the support they need through their journey in memory of their wonderful, fun-loving, and incredibly strong father. Leone Mee For those of you who know Leone, you know that she was one of a kind. We all knew her as a vibrant person who was always dressed up and made sure she matched everything-- with extra sparkle on it! We were unaware that when she started having breathing issues in Dec. 2017 that within 6 months this disease would become terminal and take her from us too soon. Apparently, she had this disease for years but didn't show symptoms until it was too late. Now, that we are learning more about this disease, we hope others can learn about it too. In Memory of Dr. Reginald Howard Thanks for visiting our page. I am Jordan Howard, Running Back for the Chicago Bears. My father, Dr. Reginald B. Howard, was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis disease when I was only 3 years old. My father was an active athletic man in the prime of his life when he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis. The diagnosis did not stop him from being a loving father and did not prevent him from helping prepare me for life and the game of football. I believe his diagnosis inspired him to enjoy life and his family even more. I watched him live with this disease for 9 years. I can still remember the not so good days when he didn't feel like fighting with the disease but continued to fight not just for himself but for his children. Pulmonary Fibrosis did not win with my daddy. Daddy fought until the very end but on January 31, 2007 he decided to move on to a better life at the age of 52. Edgardo Camacho "Edgardo Camacho went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 2, 2017, after a valiant battle against pulmonary fibrosis.Ed was a graduate of Don Bosco Technical Institute, elementary and high school, Manila,Philippines. He earned a BA in Journalism and an MA in Mass Communications from the University of the Philipppines, Manila. He taught at University of the Philippines, Baguio,In 1987 he immigrated to the the United States. He helped found two Christian and Missionary Alliancechurches in Chicago. In 1990, he married Edith. He worked as a data analyst at Moody Bible Institute for 21 years before taking early retirement due to declining health. He pursuedwoodworking in his retirement and was a life long poet. Ed was exceedingly proud of both of his sons, as well as his extended family.Loving husband of Edith (Abbott) and devoted father to William and Paul. Despite being diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis some three years ago she managed to continue her passions for family, friends, and seeing the world. A beloved mother and grandmother, she continued to host Sunday family dinners and make time for her grandchildren. She regularly had lunch with friends and kept an active social calendar including Neil Diamond fans, Orange Elks, church events, and fellow travelers. Travel was both her hobby and career, and she served others as a travel agent for over 30 years. Cruising down the Danube and visiting other exotic locations with friends, her pace may have slowed, but her determination to continue a normal life was unmatched. Judy was one of the rarer diagnosis in that she had none of the inherent risk factors: environmental exposure, smoking, etc. that are typical in most Pulmonary Fibrosis cases. This November 16th is Eddie's birthday, he would have been 57, but this horrible disease took his life away. My name is Tatiana Riera, and I am the daughter of a wonderful man who fought against IPF since 2014. I recently lost my father due to this illness and I feel like the only proper way to deal with the pain of the loss is to do the one thing my dad always taught me to do and reminded me constantly, help others. My husband, Jackie L. Fisher, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in June 2013. He passed away 11 months later at age 75 from this disease. Jackie was a devoted and loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He worked at NASA for 37 years at the Johnson Spacecraft Center and retired to Wimberley, TX in 1998. He learned to play the violin and became a member of the Starlight Symphony Orchestra for eight years. He was passionate about music, genealogy and travel. Shirley Lee O'Neal McElhaney passed away Sept. 10, 2018, after a 3-year bout with pulmonary fibrosis. Her doctors could not determine the cause for her diagnosis, only that she had it and that the condition was terminal. She showed tremendous strength and resilience up until the end and thankfully died peacefully under hospice care.
