Why Campbell needs a female mascot:Representation: Gladys would be a fun, spirited symbol of our Women’s athletic programs. A female mascot could represent and draw more attention to our great women’s sports. 53% of Campbell students are females, and over half of our athletic programs are women’s sports. Logistics: Gaylord is often stretched too thin. With all of the athletic and university events that Gaylord attends, he needs some help!School spirit: Having a male and a female mascot would be, to put it simply, FUN! Gladys and Gaylord would be a dynamic duo that spreads school spirit at all types of athletic and campus events. When you give to this campaign, this is what you’re helping to make happen: Creating Gladys’ suit Recruiting students to be in the suit Sprucing up Gaylord so he can be a suitable match for his new pal!

Why Campbell needs a female mascot:Hey yall... This is Craig (Gaylord) & Angela (Gladys) Lloyd between 1990 -1994. We served proudly as the mascots during our time as students at Campbell and during our game against Duke in the Men's first round of the NCAA Tournament. Angela and I have been a couple in and out of the suits since we met during our first semester at Campbell over 28 years ago. Angela actually served as the last Gladys and we are inspired to bring her back and need your support!! When you give to this campaign, this is what you’re helping to make happen: Creating Gladys’ suit Recruiting students to be in the suit Sprucing up Gaylord so he can be a suitable match for his new pal!
