Hello everyone, I'm going to be an upcoming Senior on the Gallaudet Men's Soccer team for the Fall of 2019. We've just launched our first ever athlete online donation system and I'm excited to say that I will be apart of it! Dear Bison Supporter: Thank you for visiting my page! I represent Gallaudet University Athletics competing in basketball. Playing collegiate sports demands us to fundraise on behalf of our athletic teams. Women's Basketball =$300 Get to Know Serenity Fry: 1. What Animal Best Represents You? Why? An Octopus best represents me because I have long fingers and my body is very flexible! 2. Who is Your Favorite Athlete? Why? I have three favorite athletes: my dad, mom, and uncle. They all played sports in high school, Deaflympics, and college. So they have impacted and have kept me motivated in life through sports. 3. Who First Introduced You to Basketball? My mom, dad, and uncle introduced me to basketball when I was younger. 4. If You Could Be Anywhere in the World, Where Would You Be? Why?Rome, Italy because I like ancient history. 5. What is Your Favorite Quote? Philippians 4:13 - I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me. 6. Why do You Love Gallaudet? I love Gallaudet because of the accessible communication between peers, coaches, and educators. In my freshman year of high school at a mainstream school, I played basketball without any equal access to communication between my teammates and coaches. That was very hard for me because I was never sure of any feedback on my game. When I moved to CSDR and played basketball from my sophomore year, I had language access which allowed me to improve on my fundamentals. I look forward to doing the same at Gallaudet! What is Your Proudest Athletic Accomplishment Since You began Playing Sports? My proudest moment was when my basketball team won two consecutive Clerc Classics (2018 & 2019) during my junior and senior years of high school! 2. Who is Your Favorite Athlete? Why? Lebron James. When I was in high school, I attended the National Deaf Girls Basketball (NDGB) camp. The camp took us to Gallaudet for a campus tour and we played in basketball in the Field House.
