Any amount of donation will be much appreciated. This definitely will help my team and me, as a student-athlete. Thank you!
Hello, My name is Noah Valencia and I have been playing for Gallaudet Men's Basketball program for the past three years, contributing my energy and time to winning in games and life. I will be playing at the World Deaf Basketball Championships this upcoming June and July in Lublin, Poland, and then travel to Costa Rica with the team in August. This experience is a dream experience for a player like me; however, it is not easy to pay for both experiences. This kind of experience will help me improve my game and improve the team's chemistry. This trip is something special to me as it is the first time ever that Gallaudet decided to start the season early by playing in another country. I am honored to be part of this journey. This kind of trip is a great closure to my basketball journey as my first toy was a basketball. My first clothes was a yellow Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal uniform. My first shoes were mini Michael Jordan shoes. I was born to play basketball and I have been playing the game for 20 years. It is time to close my collegiate chapter but to do it in the best way is attending Costa Rica and playing there. Any donations would be greatly appreciated as I believe that this experience will help the team's growth in the journey of winning a championship in the end. It starts with you. A small amount of money will help me greatly with the funds that I need to earn to go to Costa Rica along with my team. Together, we make a difference.

Dear Bison Supporter: Thank you for visiting my page! I represent Gallaudet University Athletics competing in both basketball and softball. Playing two different collegiate sports demands us to fundraise on behalf of both programs. Women's Basketball and Softball =($450) Get to Know Ariel Senics 1. Why Did You Decide to Play Sports at the Collegiate Level? Coach Stevens recruited me to play Gallaudet basketball and Coach Burns recruited me to play Gallaudet softball. I love both sports equally. Smile. 2. What is Your Proudest Athletic Accomplishment Since You Began Playing Sports? Although I was on a medical redshirt last year and only able to support my team from the sidelines, I was part of the Final Four team in the NEAC basketball tournament (2018-2019). We lost in the championship game, but it was a great experience. 3. Who is Your Favorite Athlete? Why? Brianna Stewart is my favorite athlete because she continues to dominate our game today. Brianna is fierce, competitive, and works extremely hard. 4. What Animal Best Represents You? Why? A lion is the best animal that represents me because, in Hebrew, Ariel means 'Lion of God'. 5. What is Your Hidden Talent? I can wiggle my ears and raise my eyebrows. 6. What is Your Favorite Quote? “Anything can happen when we are committed to our dreams.”- Cathy Rush (Mighty Macs) Go Bison! Family & Friends of the Gallaudet Men's Basketball team, Please help donate and support our Men's Basketball. We usually seek for donations to help improve the student-athlete experience, offset the cost for equipment and travel. But this summer, we have an exciting opportunity for our hard working student-athletes to travel out of the country and share their experience with others in Costa Rica. We will be traveling to Costa Rica on Aug 14 and return on Aug 22. We will share our skills with Deaf children in Costa Rica by giving them a free basketball clinic and we will also volunteer with the Special Olympics. In addition we will play 3 games with teams from Costa Rica. We are working hard to fundraise with Chipotle dinners and car washes to name some ways we are fundraising for the trip. This trip is allowable by the NCAA once every 4 years which is commonly done elsewhere but never ever before at Gallaudet. Your support whether small or big, one time or monthly, will be a big help in achieving our goals which is to be the best we can be everyday! Each donation is tax deductible. Thank you very much in advance for your consideration and supporting us. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Kovacs at kevin.kovacs@gallaudet.edu.
Dear Bison Supporter: Thank you for visiting my page! I represent Gallaudet University Athletics competing in both basketball and soccer. Playing two different collegiate sports demands us to fundraise on behalf of both programs. Women's Soccer & Women's Basketball = ($450) Get to Know Emelia Beldon: 1. Why Did You Decide to Play Sports at the Collegiate Level? I decided to play sports at the collegiate level because growing up, my favorite thing to do was play sports and be active. I can’t really imagine life without sports so it was no surprise that I was going to play. 2. Who is Your Favorite Athlete? Why? My favorite athlete would be Kobe Bryant. He was my inspiration as an athlete. When I was growing up and becoming the athlete I am today, I’ve always read stories and articles about how much dedication and commitment Kobe has in the gym. These stories were what aspired me to be the kind of athlete I strived to be. Oh, and he was also one of the greatest to play for the LA Lakers and the NBA. Smile! 3. Who First Introduced You to Basketball? My dad for sure, he was the one who got me into sports and I thankfully I have my family's unconditional support on the field, on the court, and in the classroom. 4. What Are Your Aspirations After Graduating from Gallaudet University? I am still unsure, but I definitely want to work any one of the mathematical, technical, or the data fields. 5. What is Your Hidden Talent? I can solve the rubix cube! 6. If You Could Be Anywhere in the World, Where Would You Be? Why? Out of the United States, hopefully somewhere in South America where there are beaches everywhere. I love beaches and I have a traveling bug! Go Bison! -Emelia Beldon
