Dear Bison Supporter: Thank you for visiting my page! I represent Gallaudet University Athletics competing in both basketball and soccer. Playing two different collegiate sports demands us to fundraise on behalf of both programs. Women's Soccer & Women's Basketball = ($450) Get to Know Emelia Beldon: 1. Why Did You Decide to Play Sports at the Collegiate Level? I decided to play sports at the collegiate level because growing up, my favorite thing to do was play sports and be active. I can’t really imagine life without sports so it was no surprise that I was going to play. 2. Who is Your Favorite Athlete? Why? My favorite athlete would be Kobe Bryant. He was my inspiration as an athlete. When I was growing up and becoming the athlete I am today, I’ve always read stories and articles about how much dedication and commitment Kobe has in the gym. These stories were what aspired me to be the kind of athlete I strived to be. Oh, and he was also one of the greatest to play for the LA Lakers and the NBA. Smile! 3. Who First Introduced You to Basketball? My dad for sure, he was the one who got me into sports and I thankfully I have my family's unconditional support on the field, on the court, and in the classroom. 4. What Are Your Aspirations After Graduating from Gallaudet University? I am still unsure, but I definitely want to work any one of the mathematical, technical, or the data fields. 5. What is Your Hidden Talent? I can solve the rubix cube! 6. If You Could Be Anywhere in the World, Where Would You Be? Why? Out of the United States, hopefully somewhere in South America where there are beaches everywhere. I love beaches and I have a traveling bug! Go Bison! -Emelia Beldon
