During this challenging time, TDECU is focusing on the financial wellness of its members, but also recognizes the immediate needs in the communities where we have a presence. TDECU is inviting its employees and Members to support its virtual campaign, benefitting the Houston Food Bank. To assist during the COVID-19 health crisis, Houston Food Bank is currently: Distributing approximately 800,000 pounds of food daily, compared to normal distribution of 400,000 pounds Providing quarantine food kits Continuing and increasing regular partner agency distributions Distributing senior care boxes If you are able to make a donation to support those impacted, your gift will fill boxes with food for neighbors across the food bank’s 18-county service area. TDECU’s goal is to provide 30,000 meals to individuals and families in need. Because of Houston Food Bank’s partnerships with manufacturers and distributors, the organization can turn one dollar in to providing someone with access to three meals. The impact is incredible! TDECU will match each donation dollar for dollar, up to $5,000. Please consider a monetary gift toward this worthy cause.

Sharing a meal with community neighbors has always been a Thanksgiving tradition at Texas Capital Bank. Given last year’s great success, we have decided to do our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive through the Houston Food Bank (HFB) once again! Like last year, we have set up a webpage, so that our community members can make electronic donations directly to the HFB. The HFB is the largest food bank in the United States, in both size and distribution. Through a network with 1,500 community partners (which includes food pantries, soup kitchens, meal sites and shelters), the HFB is able to service 18 counties in Southeast Texas and help those struggling with food insecurity. Let’s help them continue the wonderful work that they do! Feel free to forward to anyone who might want to contribute!

In light of a recent tragedy at The Houston Food Bank, where over 2000 pounds of food was contaminated and had to be thrown out, we would like to help by having our own food drive drop off here at The Ranch at Sienna Plantation. With the holidays coming around the corner let's all come together and give back to those in need and spread love and hope to all during these hard times. "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile. Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
