Nicole, "Nicky," "Pesh," or "Pesce," was a force to be reckoned with on the soccer and softball fields, and basketball and volleyball courts. You name it, Nicole was the one to look out for! When Pesce got in game-mode, there was nothing but leadership and dedication for the game at hand. Pesce enjoyed the camaraderie that came along with team sports and some of her dearest friendships blossomed from it. This is why Pesce would be proud for donations to be made in her name to the Special Olympics as she would love for others to be able to experience the joy that sports brought to her life. Pesh, we love you.
I set up this fund-raiser as a response to Meatsauce Paul Lambert's swimming 250 yards challenge! I decided to donate $1/yard Sauce swims to Special Olympics MN in honor of my son and the advocacy work Sauce does for his sister. To donate, hit the "Make a donation" and enter the amount that you pledged on the Google form (Do the math if you donated per yard). Thank you for joining the fund-raiser and I sincerely appreciate your generosity! ****This fund-raiser is in no way affiliated with KFAN or iHeartMedia***
Arne Sorenson was a board member for Special Olympics and was an advocate for the disadvantaged. This is to honor his legacy after his recent passing. Our Marriott family and the extended community is forever in debited to Arne who is an irreplaceable leader who we will miss dearly. ---The extended finance family @ Marriott.

This fundraiser honors Dana Hackett, 1959-2021. Wonderful friend, sweet sister, beer-guzzling belly-laugher and special olympian. Dana, your friends and family in Santa Cruz love you, remember you and do our best to deserve you.

I wanna extend myself out and do what I can for people that aren't getting their opportunities.
I felt the need to have the Special Olympics as my next charitable target because I would like to do my part for the people being sold short for things they can't control.

As I leave for the Naval Academy, I want to invite friends and family to donate to a cause I've always felt inclined to support... The Special Olympics. I have the utmost respect and admiration for the athletes of the Special Olympics and those with the Special Olympics in their dreams. I would love to see more equity between the Special Olympics and mainstream Olympics in my lifetime. I invite you to help "empower athletes to shatter stereotypes and exceed their personal bests on the playing field, in the pool and in life!" Thank you for your consideration.

May is pseudo-National Runners month; every year, I do a " May we run" challenge and try to beat my miles totals from the last year. Something that inspires me to stay active is the incredible athletes that participate in the Special Olympics. So I'm challenging myself to donate 2$ for every mile I run in May through June 2nd, which is National runners day. Feel free to join the challenge, or donate to the cause or develop a challenge that best suits your interests. It could be "May we cook," "May we read," May we write" I challenge you to get inspired this month!

Garden Bros Nuclear Circus is donating $1.00 from every Box Office ticket sale to Special Olympics (Ohio). Our circus is coming to Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds (May 20-23-21) and Summit County Fairgrounds (May 27-31-21)! Our performers practice and train to put smiles on the faces of our spectators, just like all the dedicated Special Olympic Athletes.
Hi, I am Przemek, friends call me "Shem". I am from Poland and I am a professional dancer and dance teacher currently working in one of the dance studios in Columbus, Ohio. Alongside with my fellow colleagues from Expedia Cruise Center in Destin, Florida, I am also an organizer of the exclusive Dance Cruise to South America in 2022. This trip is designed for people who love to travel and dance. While on the ship we will have an opportunity to have plenty of experience with ballroom dancing. With the Expedia Team in Destin Florida, we were looking for ideas on how we can contribute to the Florida community through the dancing. Personally, I always wanted to support the charity that will be close to my life experience. My step father was a disabled person moving on the wheel chair. After his accident while on duty for National Service in Poland in early 70's he was told that he will no longer be able to walk and his life may not last longer than another ten years. Well, he proved otherwise. He lived for another 44 years. I only met him when I was 7 years old. He showed me how to be strong and have faith in anything that we do. No matter what kind of disabilities you may have, giving up on something has never been a case. He loved music and playing it. He was always capable of everything: he cooked for my mum and me, he knew how to fix stuff and he just never let us feel that he needs to have any extra assistance. He was very independent. I believe that his personality and character grew not just because of his struggles and commitment to live happy life but also because he was surrounded by family and friends who loved him, the way he was. Unfortunately, we saw a lot of examples of discrimination while being out and about and that was in some ways patronizing and intimidating to our family. Although Special Olympics supports people with intellectual disabilities and yet my step father was disabled physically, I believe that no disabilities should be discriminated or treated differently. After telling my story to my colleagues from Expedia Team and reading about the mission of Special Olympics we believed that this charity is the closest to our heart and we would like to support it.

With the start of my Law Enforcement career since 2019, I have been honored to be a part of the Special Olympics fundraising and Law enforcement Torch Run Events. It is a joy to be able to contribute volunteer hours, and working hours within my respective Agency at a local Sheriff's Office to fundraise for these amazing athletes. I've had the great pleasure, especially within the difficult year of 2020/2021 to have met some of our local athletes here in Brighton, Colorado. This fundraising will help the athletes maintain their Olympics clothing, transportation, etc!
In May 2020, Ben learned how to ride his bike! He found freedom on two wheels and hasn't looked back since. After several bike rides around the neighborhood and along the lakefront, we set up a challenge for ourselves. How many consecutive days could we ride our bikes? We started our streak on 7/31/20. Our first goal - 50 days - came and went pretty quickly. It's hard to believe, but now we are approaching one FULL YEAR of biking together. We made it through the winter (including 3 weeks of sub-zero temps in February!) and are gearing up for our final days. It's been a great experience for us and we are grateful that our bodies allow us to do this. But, what if we could share our blessings with other kids for whom biking presents a challenge? Please join Ben and I in celebrating our 365 days of bike riding by making a donation to the Special Olympics. It is our hope that we can make biking and physical activity easier and accessible for all kids. Ben has lofty goals. Rumor has it his parents will match all donations up to $2500 #bikingwithBen
