Hi, I am Przemek, friends call me "Shem". I am from Poland and I am a professional dancer and dance teacher currently working in one of the dance studios in Columbus, Ohio. Alongside with my fellow colleagues from Expedia Cruise Center in Destin, Florida, I am also an organizer of the exclusive Dance Cruise to South America in 2022. This trip is designed for people who love to travel and dance. While on the ship we will have an opportunity to have plenty of experience with ballroom dancing. With the Expedia Team in Destin Florida, we were looking for ideas on how we can contribute to the Florida community through the dancing. Personally, I always wanted to support the charity that will be close to my life experience. My step father was a disabled person moving on the wheel chair. After his accident while on duty for National Service in Poland in early 70's he was told that he will no longer be able to walk and his life may not last longer than another ten years. Well, he proved otherwise. He lived for another 44 years. I only met him when I was 7 years old. He showed me how to be strong and have faith in anything that we do. No matter what kind of disabilities you may have, giving up on something has never been a case. He loved music and playing it. He was always capable of everything: he cooked for my mum and me, he knew how to fix stuff and he just never let us feel that he needs to have any extra assistance. He was very independent. I believe that his personality and character grew not just because of his struggles and commitment to live happy life but also because he was surrounded by family and friends who loved him, the way he was. Unfortunately, we saw a lot of examples of discrimination while being out and about and that was in some ways patronizing and intimidating to our family. Although Special Olympics supports people with intellectual disabilities and yet my step father was disabled physically, I believe that no disabilities should be discriminated or treated differently. After telling my story to my colleagues from Expedia Team and reading about the mission of Special Olympics we believed that this charity is the closest to our heart and we would like to support it.

I've been a supporter of the Special Olympics for many years and I'm reaching out to people in my industry to ask that you give to this amazing organization. These boys, girls, men & women all want to succeed like you and I do. Special Olympics brings joy to people who need help and their families. If you need more information please reach out to me and I'd be happy to fill you in on what they're doing and how little it takes to change a life. I've started with a $1000 donation to get the ball rolling. Anything you can do to support this effort would be greatly appreciated. Peter Dyroff
As a Freemason, I've seen first hand the joy on the face of some of these amazing people. The sense of pride they feel when they can get out there and show their stuff. I just want to be able to help more of them be able to go to these events.

Be as specific and compelling as possible. my father Francis A Braun was an announcer for the Special Olympics in the state of Missouri for years. He really enjoyed the friends he made and the smiles on the Olympians faces when he announced their names and they received their medals. He passed away December 27, 2021 and the family and friends and others would like everyone to give to the Special Olympics in his honor and memory

Melanie was an incredible Special Education teacher for over 20 years. She loved her students and fought for them in every way possible. When we were thinking about a charity for people to donate to in her name, there was no doubt that The Special Olympics was the perfect organization. For those of you who who knew and loved Melanie, please make a donation in her name in lieu of flowers. Let's make a difference for these kids just as she would have wanted it! We love you Mel and you are forever in our hearts.

We want to make a difference. Special Olympic Events make it so that athletic competitions are inclusive to all people of all ages and is near and dear to our hearts. We have family members, friends and classmates alike that all take advantage of the opportunities provided to them through this organization. It would not happen without donations. Donations help this organization run smoothly and aid in providing those with special needs a chance to flourish and achieve greatness in their own right. Please consider helping this cause!

Volunteering with Special Olympics has truly changed my life. This Organization gives opportunities to individuals with disabilities, that they may not have access to otherwise. Special Olympics fosters an accepting and inclusive environment, and with your donation, more individuals with disabilities can have the opportunity to be a part of it. If you are unable to donate, consider visiting the Special Olympics website and taking the pledge for inclusion. We can make this world a more inclusive place one small step at a time!

Inspired by Debbie Cowart July 2, 1964 – March 1, 2014 Debbie was born with Down’s syndrome, holes in all four chambers of her heart. I never heard her complain about anything. When I grow up I want to be like my big sister Debbie participated in Special Olympics almost her whole life. Not always the fastest or threw the longest, but every time she finished she would shout with joy ‘I Won, I Won!’ When I grow up I want to be like my big sister Debbie called everyone she met friend, and she meant it! She loved all without question, didn’t care what you had, where you had been, what you had done When I grow up I want to be like my big sister Debbie loved to go to Church. She would worship the Lord joyfully with a freedom seldom seen When I grow up I want to be like my big sister Debbie is with The Father now, this I truly believe. She is dancing, singing, and praising God all day long. When I grow up I want to be like my big sister ______________________________March 1, 2020 I've got a lot of growing up to still do. One step I've taken is personal growth and understanding. The Hoka Hey is a big part of that. The Hoka Hey is an every other year motorcycle challenge that encourages riders to raise funds for their chosen charity.Today I'm launching my Hoka Hey campaign to raise funds for my chosen charity: The Special Olympics. Starting on July 10th, I will be riding my motorcycle for a continuous 24 hour inside the city limits of Little Rock, AR. I am asking for a pledge per mile traveled. Example: $. 01 x 1000 miles = $10.00 donation
