Mike Kuron -- R&J Trucking

Mike was the 2nd full time driver I had the privilege of hiring at the Toledo terminal when we first opened the new facility in 1993. He was hired as a full time driver on March 22, 1993, and since then he has become what I believe is one of this company’s greatest assets. Mike is not only a driver trainer for R & J Trucking, but he goes beyond the typical training to becoming a mentor in many cases for several, if not all the drivers he has trained over the years. He makes the new and not-so-new drivers always feel as if they are part of our ever growing family of employees. Mike has not only worked here for over 27 years, but in that time he has racked up well in excess of 2 million accident free miles, and has never had a lost time injury accident either. He continuously demonstrates what it means to be a safe driver and employee, not only on the highways on which he travels, but at our customers and terminals as well. He enjoys spending time with his wife Lori and family in the warmer months, especially boating on the Maumee River and Lake Erie. I believe Mike has a strong sense of “family” as he always seems to put his family first above all other things and does whatever he can to help out in any time of need. Mike has pledged to drive 15,000 miles in support of Veterans Matter to help house our nation's homeless veterans. Please consider donating to help him provide a home for the brave in the land of the free.

Ray Tiernan -- Nagle Trucking

Hi! I'm Ray Tiernan from West Newton, PA where I live with my wonderful wife Cathy of 35 years. Together we have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. I’m 62 years old and have been driving for 41 years. The first 37 years I helped people improve their lives by driving in the moving and storage industry, helping them relocate to areas with greater opportunities. The company closed down and I came to work for Nagle 4 years ago this December where I once again help people, as we haul refrigerated food products. I have over 3.5 million accident free miles in my career. It is an honor to compete in helping to raise money for homeless veterans. I have pledged to drive 24,000 miles over the next 3 months in support of Veterans Matter to help house our nation's homeless veterans. Please consider donating to help me provide a home for the brave in the land of the free.
