Challenge Details Community banks have come together to address Danbury’s increased need for healthy food during this COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic fall-out. The “Feeding our Neighbors Community Challenge” will support the Danbury Food Collaborative during these unprecedented times. We hope this challenge will motivate you to join us in achieving our goal. Some Danbury Food Collaborative pantries are currently serving three times as many households as they were before COVID. In the month of July alone, these nonprofit organizations had 7,000 visits to their pantries. According to 211 Counts Connecticut data, requests for information about food resources in Fairfield County went from 1,607 in May of 2019 to 23,900 in May of 2020. Administration and distribution of the funds is being handled by the United Way of Western Connecticut. Together We Can Do More! Donate Today!
