I am fundraising for Cancer Lifeline! They do phenomenal work - supporting those who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their families. As a breast cancer survivor, I know how isolating and hard a cancer diagnosis can be. Cancer Lifeline provides counseling, financial assistance, nutrition and fitness programs, and most importantly, a community that can provide support at a time someone may need it most. Please consider contributing - no donation is too small. Please help me reach my goal!

Hello Family, Friends and Colleagues! Thank you so much for visiting my page to consider donating to Cancer Lifeline's Breakfast with Friends event. As you know this past year has been difficult for many; however, it has been especially isolating for those who are navigating a cancer diagnosis. Cancer Lifeline is a truly amazing amazing organization, offering dozens of resources for patients and their families adjusting to their new reality. Some of these resources include building strength through support groups, classes in nutrition, exercise, personal expression, stress reduction, personalized emotional support, and financial support. For the past 48 years, Cancer Lifeline has been a pillar of support for our community and I would really appreciate if you could help contribute to this important cause so we can make sure these services are free and accessible to all. Thank you so much for being a champion for this important work! Rosie

Hello, I lost a dear friend of mine just over a year ago. I struggled through that loss and think about him daily. Loss is a very difficult roller coaster of emotions and everyone deals with them differently. It is great to have resources available to you if the need arises. For nearly 48 years, Cancer Lifeline has helped thousands build strength through support groups, classes in nutrition, exercise, personal expression, stress reduction, personalized emotional support, and financial support. This year, from March 14th through April 17th, we are holding our annual fundraiser Breakfast with Friends online. Our Breakfast celebrates our role in the local cancer community and brings together clients, facilitators, donors, sponsors, hospital partners, board members and staff. I invite you to help support this organization that is so important to me and my family. Please consider making a donation https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/Lifeline/StevenGerlock today to help us raise these needed funds so we can make sure that our programs remain free and accessible to all cancer patients and their families. Sincerely, Steven Gerlock

Please join me in supporting Cancer Lifeline, an organization which is near and dear to my heart. They provide amazing support services to cancer patients in our community - and all services are FREE! As an oncology nurse and cancer survivor, I know how important it is to help people and families with the emotional impact of cancer - it takes more than medical care to manage this difficult journey. And I can only imagine how difficult it must be coping with cancer during this pandemic. Please help Cancer Lifeline make a difference in people's lives by making a donation to this incredible organization.

It's that time of year again! I am honored to be participating in this year's virtual Breakfast with Friends event. This annual event that raises funds for all of Cancer Lifeline’s support services from classes and educational programs to the lifeline and support groups. The revenue from this year’s event will impact the lives of over 7,500 men and women living with cancer. This year's event is especially important as so many patients are experiencing financial hardship, loneliness and isolation during the pandemic. Cancer Lifeline allows patients to connect with others going through a similar journey. I would greatly appreciate your support. You CAN make a difference in so many lives through supporting this effort. With love, Tiffany

Hello, thank you for considering donating to Cancer Lifeline's (CL) Breakfast with Friends event. CL has been working for patients and families navigating cancer diagnosis. Writing For The Moment

My friend Sue Bartels didn't swear much, but when she made it to the top in the Dolomites with so much of her lung removed, she wasn't swearing, she was triumphing! "Fuck cancer!" and she raised her walking sticks into the air. Day 20-something of the Cancer Lifeline fundraiser. They've been part of my life since 1993. Donations matched now! Final days. https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/Lifeline/WritingfortheMoment Sue always described our writing table best: But this writing is for me. This time is for me – to be present for all the parts of me. Like an active meditation. Quieting my mind by writing out the thoughts tumbling forth – or not tumbling. Just being. I like this quiet time – creative time- solitary, yet part of the group. A merry band of word-crafters and story-spinners and truth-tellers. My soul can breathe in the company of these women. Aaaahhh. Early in the shutdown fellow writers presented me with perhaps the greatest gift I have ever received. See the video below! Conceived by 2019 participants and then created by Ileany Fields & Janet Hasselblad, the Writing for the Moment quilt is my most treasured possession. Over the many years with so many honest words shared at our table I've always felt we were creating a quilt every week. Now I have this object of beauty, of love, that makes me grateful every day for Cancer Lifeline and the honor of facilitating. I first called the Lifeline in 1993: it has been there for me and thousands of others ever since. My greatest regret of 2020 is that I did not get to see and thank Ileany Fields in person for this gift. Helping those whose isolation this last year has been compounded by COVID and whose financial situation has added more life-threatening stress is my #1 cause. Peggy Sturdivant
