LATVIA I have been AIMing and living on the field since 2017. Serving mostly in the nation of Latvia, pastoring, leading AIM teams and working to plant churches in cities that have no apostolic witness. I also have had the pleasure to work with the Robert K Rodenbush Global Training Center and help to train fellow global laborers. Bangladesh Hi my name is Areli Smith! I an 18 years old and this will be my first AIM trip! Since I was a kid I knew God had a plan for my life but everything was just so uncertain. My mom and I had a dream that we would be out in the mission field. We didn’t know where and we didn’t know when but we knew God was revealing His plan for our family. As I got older I felt a pull to missions. It was scary at first but after my first AYC trip my life was completely changed. The summer of 2022 I took an AYC trip to Bangladesh. While I was there God had completely opened my heart and mind to a whole new world! I left there feeling more sure if myself and my faith. However, I also left there feeling like there was more God wanted to do with me there. It’s been a year and I still feel like there is more God wants from me. So, I am going to be going back to Bangladesh for 6 months. It’s going to take some time, and money but I know that with prayer and fasting I will be able to make it. Namibia, Africa Hi, my name is Kristen Magallanes! It was in 2019 that I visited Africa for the first time. Serving alongside my family on AIM to Nigeria in 2020, and to Namibia from 2021-2022, has taught me to trust and fear the Lord more than I feared anything else. The Netherlands Hallo!! Hello!!! My name is Justyne Garcia. I have been so very fortunate to be recently accepted to do AIM for 3 months assisting Missionaries, Pastor Allan & Carla Calhoun based in the Netherlands. I am set to leave in June 2024. I always had a heart for missions ever since i was a little girl and was planning a trip to Spain in the beginning of 2020 but then Covid hit. Ever since then, I felt the burden to go out into the missions field but i felt i that part was set on pause due to many different things. This past year God has been working through me and growing more with Him that in November of 2023 with much prayer and guidance I took a step of faith and applied. In those years i always had a doubt of how can God use me or how much could i give if i don’t have much to offer. Of course that was just fear talking! But God continues to remind me of Matthew chapter 6. That if he cares so much for the birds and the lilies how much more does He care about us, and with that using the “very little” we have for HIS kingdom with humility and letting God take full control. He will ALWAYS provide and make up the rest and multiply it for HIS glory! I am so very excited for this new journey with God and believing this new step will be a huge blessing to allow me to grow in ways with God i never been able to but praying i can be a blessing across the country as well. Brazil God has led us to leave our secular careers in public education and social services sector to serve full-time on the mission field. We have been involved in the work of foreign missions director at our local church for over two decades. We have helped lead mission trips, build churches, and support ministry work in India as Associate Pastors for over 20 years in our local church. In the past two years (2022 and 2023), we on short term mission trips to Guatemala, Chile, Liberia, Cuba, and Brazil. Once, we got to Brazil, God confirmed our full-time calling to Brazil. Our goal is to eventually become Career Missionaries. In May of 2023, we were approved to serve as AIMers to the country of Brazil. Our supervising missionaries are Michael and Ivonne Walmer. We are so excited to leave to the mission field as AIMers in early July 2024. We are looking forward to growing the ministry work in Brazil. We will be based in Brasilia helping to start the first UPCI church plant in the Federal District of Brasilia. Some of our others ministry goals will be to: provide ministry support to all 10 churches and daughter works in the surrounding suburbs of Brasilia (leadership training, prayer conferences, evangelism, discipleship, and youth ministry development), and teach courses to leaders throughout Brazil in our Global Association of Theological Studies (GATS) Bible School. I have been helping in various aspects of ministry. God has once again made a way for this trip as I have been blessed to serve in Greece and in neighboring locations in the past year. FRANCE I prayed for God to order my steps but I never dreamed of where He would lead me. I was doing some solo travelling through Europe when I happened to join Paris Centre Church for their regular Sunday service. Little did I know that Sunday the Lord would completely change my itinerary and future plans. God moved so powerfully on my heart and spoke so directly to my soul and situation that there was absolutely no denying or avoiding the fact He was calling me to serve in Paris. This took me completely by surprise because I am the least Parisian person you’d ever meet; can’t pull off a beret, not really a cheese person, nor do I have not a ounce of trendiness or high class fashion sense in me! So I can confidently tell you that this call was all God’s doing!!!! Within a few months I applied for the Associate in Missions program, I returned to Canada to get a visa and voila, je suis ici!! With rusty French and a heart that desires to serve, reach and love others unto the Lord, I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of the amazing church in Paris Centre! A city that has a metro area population of Paris of 11,142,000 there is no shortage of need. I know God has great plans for this city and I am beyond blessed to be here and watch it all unfold while working the harvest fields! ESTONIA NAYC 2023 Rev. Anthony Mangun preached the message “A Call to Glory”. Both my wife and I felt a confirmation in our spirit for the call in which God was leading us. From that moment on, we have had many confirmations that this is the the plan He has for us in this season of our lives. We feel directed toward the country of Estonia under the supervising missionaries, Rev. Nate and Sis. Ingunn Turner. We don’t always know why God chooses the people He does, especially when at times we feel unworthy. However, during a revival our church had just after NAYC evangelist Rev. Mike Nolen, preached a message that said, “I’m Still Here!” During this message we were reminded that God doesn't always call those who we may see as "qualified" but He will use those who are faithful and willing. Those few words are so powerful and reminded us that no matter what life has thrown at us, no matter how down we may be at times that we are still here fighting the good fight and have a purpose for the Kingdom.
