Team Catskill! I have been so fortunate to intern for this amazing organization this summer. Can you support my efforts to hike my way to the gold this August as an athletic competitor and help raise needed funds for Catskill Animal Sanctuary (CAS)? This year's goat games takes place the week of August 16th, when I'll be visiting family in Maine! My goal will be to hike/walk at least 15 miles there. For the past 20 years, CAS has been a refuge for thousands of animals and currently over 300 lucky ones call it home. CAS not only rescues farmed animals from various abuse and neglect, their educational tours and other programs ignite social change to end the exploitation of animals in the first place. For example, 94% of their non-vegan visitors say they intend to reduce or eliminate animal products from their diet as a result of their time at the sanctuary. Back and Better Than Ever! As you may (or may not!) know, I've returned to Catskill Animal Sanctuary in a new position on their staff! Hi friends and family! This summer, I have had the incredible opportunity to intern with Catskill Animal Sanctuary, a place for rescued farmed animals that I have visited since I was a child. Over the years, I have met so many remarkable individuals who call the sanctuary home, including Bruce the friendly Muscovy duck who climbed into my mom's lap when we visited a few years ago, Ferguson the sociable sheep who greeted me on my way in and out of the sanctuary on my most recent visit, and Hermione the sweet goat who let me scratch behind her ears as I fed her and her friends willow branches. This year, for my 21st birthday, I am asking those who would like to celebrate with me to donate to the sanctuary to ensure that the current (and future!) sanctuary residents continue to receive the care they need.
