The Snazzy Snoozers are entering the fight to provide, through the power of Jesus Christ, a home for the homeless, food for the hungry, and hope for their future? We will spend One Night Without A Home, sleeping outside somewhere, walking in the shoes of the homeless to remind myself of their plight and how blessed we are. Will you please join us? Or will you beg for us, and help us reach our goal?

On occassion, I get a 'bee in my bonnet' about injustice in the world and have to do something about it. The fact that there are so many homeless in this city breaks my heart. Many times homelessness is just a symptom of a greater issue. The work of the Rescue Mission is committed to not just providing a meal and a warm bed and hope the problem goes away... they are committed to creating true change and healing! I am sleeping out for The Rescue Mission’s One Night event to raise critical funds and awareness for the 3,000 men, women, and children who are experiencing a homeless crisis in Northeast Indiana. Dear Friends, Jesus's teaching in Matthew 25 is clear: we are to take care of the least among us. One Night Without a Home is a fundraiser for the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission. The way it works is very simple. On a night in October, I will sleep outside in a refrigerator box. The idea is not to pretend to be homeless but rather to be in support and solidarity with thousands in our area alone who are homeless every night. My hope and prayer is that you will consider a small donation to this very important cause. Every dime you donate goes straight to the Rescue Mission to be used to help those who are in great need. The Rescue Mission in Fort Wayne has an event called One Night. This is an opportunity to experience a small taste of what it is like to be homeless, raise awareness and raise money for the mission. Typically this is done in groups at a common location. Since Covid-19 hit this is now virtual event. I plan to spend my One Night sometime in late October. My fund raising goal is $300. For every $20 donated I’ll get to choose a “comfort” item to survive the night.
