Dearest Friends, Earlier this year I started the catch up game of scheduling health check ups. At the top of the list was the dreaded mammogram (ouch!) One mammogram appt led to a follow-up mammogram appt which led to an ultra sound appt. Yep - there was something there. A biopsy revealed a growth, but after experiencing a rough year in 2021, I was ready to be at peace with any outcome, come what may. It was a huge relief to learn that it was benign. I know there are many many folks out there who aren't as fortunate as I am and who need support. I decided to participate in WCRC's Swim A Mile / Move A Mile for Women with Cancer. And hopefully soon Swim A Mile too, on the journey back to Ironman competitions.
