Al Dente was a sweet, happy, three legged boy who brought an endless amount of joy to everyone he met. Heather and Neal found Al Dente at Bark in the Park 2019. We could not resist his smile and the instant connection we made. Throughout the last three years we made so many memories with Al Dente and he truly left a mark on our hearts that will always be there. On April 16, 2022, Al Dente’s earthside journey came to an end, as his health condition had declined to a point where he was in a lot of pain and his quality of life was very minimal. We know in our hearts that Al Dente is up in doggo heaven, has his fourth leg back, and is now our guardian angel. This year will be bigger than ever! 2022 BARK IN THE PARK is here! This will be possibly my 15th year involved with Bark in the Park benefitting the Humane Society of Summit County. (I can't be that old, that has to be incorrect.) This year it's even bigger than ever! I'm so very excited to be a part of it. The event itself is joyous and fabulous, but the heart of what we need to accomplish is raise money for the important and necessary work being done at the Humane Society of Summit County to help animals in need. I've seen some things in my 20 years as a volunteer, and there have been moments of bliss and moments of tragedy. But no matter what the situation, compassion was at the center of it all. The HSSC volunteers and staff do the work of Angels, but that can't be done without funding. Please, if you can donate any dollar amount, please do. I would love to surpass my goal of 1k.
