This year will be bigger than ever! 2022 BARK IN THE PARK is here! This will be possibly my 15th year involved with Bark in the Park benefitting the Humane Society of Summit County. (I can't be that old, that has to be incorrect.) This year it's even bigger than ever! I'm so very excited to be a part of it. The event itself is joyous and fabulous, but the heart of what we need to accomplish is raise money for the important and necessary work being done at the Humane Society of Summit County to help animals in need. I've seen some things in my 20 years as a volunteer, and there have been moments of bliss and moments of tragedy. But no matter what the situation, compassion was at the center of it all. The HSSC volunteers and staff do the work of Angels, but that can't be done without funding. Please, if you can donate any dollar amount, please do. I would love to surpass my goal of 1k. Last year my fundraising page came in third place for total funds raised. Could this be the year my fundraising page comes in first??? Let's find out! :) Thank you so very much! Thank you for visiting my 2022 Bark in the Park Rescue Walk Fundraising page! Please help me reach my goal of raising at least $1.000.00! All donations will directly benefit the thousands of animals rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed by the Humane Society of Summit County every year. HSSC takes the toughest cases-the abused, sick, and injured. These forgotten and discarded animals are provided the best care and attention by a dedicated staff and hundreds of generous volunteers. Animals stay at HSSC until they find their new family as HSSC is a "no time limit" facility. My two rescue dogs, who we adopted from HSSC are featured on my page. We adopted Sophie when she was 6 years old. She had been abandoned, left outside on a freezing day, and came to the shelter with frostbite on her paws. She is the sweetest dog and she has a heart of gold! My other dog was brought to the shelter at the age of 8 weeks old. Her owner could no longer care for her. Mitzi LOVES everyone and she is a precious dog. We feel very fortunate to have both Sophie and Mitzi in our lives. They both bring so much joy! If not for the Humane Society, Sophie and Mitzi would have had nowhere to go. Thankfully, they were provided the help and services they needed because of the Humane Society. Please join me in helping HSSC continue our life-saving mission. Donations toward our Virtual Pledge Walk provide a second chance to the vulnerable animals in our community.
