Indraloka Animal Sanctuary

My name is Mazor Ner Tamid, or Mazzie for short! You may have seen me around Indraloka, hanging out with my best friend, Chandra. I wasn't sure that I could join the Goat Games, but with his encouragement, I decided to sign up! You see, my back leg doesn't work too well. When I was little, I wasn't looked after very well, but I was rescued and brought to Indraloka with a few other friends. However, something hurt my spine really bad, and I wasn't able to walk on one of my back legs. The nice people at the sanctuary though, they never gave up on me! They got me a wheelchair and helped me learn how to walk again! My back leg still doesn't work well, but I've learned to get around just fine with only three legs! I didn't know what kind of activity I could do for the Goat Games since I have trouble walking sometimes, but walking IS the perfect activity for me! I wanted to join to help encourage everyone else that, even if you can't do physical activities like bike riding or running, you can still be a Goat Games athlete! So, that's what I'm doing! I hope I can inspire someone who didn't think they could join to sign up to do an activity that's perfect for them! I have a goal to raise $400 for the Goat Games, and I know I can do it! I need your help, though! Will you join my team to help me reach my goal and remind others with mobility challenges that they can do ANYTHING they set their mind to? Help Team Indraloka take home the gold! Join as an athlete who raises money OR you can carry the torch as a donor. Either way, YOU are a champion for the animals! Be sure to spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers so they can get in on the fun! Everything you need to know about The Goat Games can be found here in the FAQs. We’re all in this together as a team! You can help encourage others by printing our team bib, posting on social media with the #TheGoatGames2022, and showing all the fun and creative ways that you’re going for the gold! Wear Your Team Show your support for Indraloka Animal Sanctuary by repping our official Goat Games team shirt! 100% of all proceeds go directly to our sanctuary! From t-shirts, to hoodies, tank tops, long-sleeves, football jerseys and more! Choose your color and get your team shirt today. Thank you for joining Team Indraloka! The sanctuary provides "heaven on earth" for farm animals that have nowhere else to turn. Our mission is to inform, inspire and empower the community, especially children, on ways in which we can better care for ourselves and the environment while helping animals in need. We advocate for a kind and compassionate lifestyle that protects animals, the earth, and our own health. By participating in the Goat Games you are helping not only the hundreds of rescued farm animals and all who love and care for them, but the thousands of humans who visit them every year! Through our innovative education programs, humans of all ages have the chance to embrace compassion and fall in love with animals like Franklin, our 2022 Goat Games Captain. Franklin was found alone on a busy highway on New Year's Eve. When he was brought to Indraloka, his complete terror of humans kept him on high alert. He wouldn't even lay down to sleep and shook with fright whenever anyone was close. He was weak, fighting pneumonia and a double eye infection that was so severe, it temporarily blinded him. But after just days in the care of our staff, surrounded by love and gentle hands, Franklin's fear lessened and then disappeared completely. Now, he spends his days with 2 new friends, Oreo and Oliver, running in the pastures and playing with no cares at all. His mischievous personality keeps us all on our toes but he loves hugs and snuggles from visitors. By joining Team Indraloka, you have the opportunity to help goats like Franklin and his many friends of all species. Here’s how it works: Register as an athlete for Team Indraloka and commit to run, walk, hike, bike, swim, or do an activity of your choice, anytime between Friday, August 12 through Monday, August 15, 2022. Share your support with friends and family to raise funds for Indraloka. Donate to Indraloka! You can make a general donation to our Goat Games page or find an athlete to support. Either way, you’re making a difference for Franklin and his friends. However you choose to support the Goat Games, please know that your generosity is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your commitment to the animals!

I'm joining the Goat Games today in memory of Duncan. Duncan perhaps one of the kindest souls who ever walked this earth, crossed over in late 2021. Everyday since then, I have strived to cultivate Duncan's level of centeredness and kindness. Duncan also taught me another important lesson. When he was young, he was fit and remained very active, seemingly experiencing deep joy and gratitude as he took long walks with his brother, swam in his wallow, and napped in the sun. My Goat Games activity is emulating Duncan by staying active and enjoying every minute! Between now and the end of the Goat Games, I will walk 100 miles and I'm hoping to raise $1,500. That's $15 for each mile. Would you consider sponsoring me for one of those miles? I know I have 100 friends who can help! Please will you be one of them? Or--you can join me as an athlete! Pick an activity--it can be ANYTHING! Jumping, swimming, napping! Anything you want. Franklin needs you--will you join me? Everything you need to know about The Goat Games can be found here in the FAQs. Thanks for supporting Franklin, Indraloka and me! We’re all in this together as a team! Meet IFS Team Captain Pickle! Pickle is an itty bitty goat with a gigantic spirit who came to IFS with rear limb paresis when she was just a few days old -- she was small enough to be mistaken for a kitten! Since welcoming Pickle in January 2021, she has made incredible progress. You'd never even know she had mobility difficulties when she was a baby! She overcame all odds and now has full use of all of her legs. Nowadays, Pickle is a happy, curious, and energetic little soul. She always has important business to attend to. If she pauses to give you a few moments of her time, you’re very fortunate—baby girl has stuff to do and places to be! She’s the most perfect Pickle in the world. IFS is Iowa's original vegan sanctuary for farmed animals. We're strategically located in the epicenter of modern animal agriculture, helping farmed animals where it is needed the most! Pickle and all of her rescued friends-- like Buddy, Annie, Fawn, and Angel are touching hearts near and far, inspiring people all around the world to act with compassion. This year is our first year participating in the Goat Games and we are ready to take home the GOLD! Our goal is to raise $25,000!!! As a sanctuary that is located in the heart of modern animal agriculture, we receive inquiries daily about farm animals in desperate need of rescue--many with special care needs like Pickle. All funds raised will help us carry out our mission of rescuing farm animals in need, as well as making sure that our current residents are living the dream! Join the dream team and swim, run, walk or bike! Pickle is READY to parkour her way to victory! From July 31 to August 22 I will be attempting to complete the Camino de Santiago’s Del Norte route across northern Spain over 18 days. I will be pushing for 30 miles or more a day. My fundraising goal mirrors the total number of miles I expect to do over then entire journey! For every dollar donated I will do a mile and every donation will come with a message from me somewhere along the way. So during August 12th-15th please consider donating to an animal sanctuary near and dear to my heart. And remember, we’re all friends here. Meet IFS Team Captain Pickle! A race to save our sanctuary! This year's Goat Games is hugely important to Wildwood! We have to move from our current location and need funding to purchase or lease a new property. If we're able to secure a new home for our beloved animals, we'll consider that the biggest win of all. If we can't, your support will help us move our animals safely to new sanctuaries where they'll continue to be loved and cared for. Either way, we're counting on you to help us get through this enormous challenge! Now, onto the fun... Our 2022 team captain, Orin, is both an athlete and an inspiring leader. At 14 years of age, he's definitely the senior team captain of our goat herd here at Wildwood. He keeps everyone in line! He has the sweetest personality and is still very agile! He is taking his new job very seriously and demanding excellence from the team – no ifs, ands or buts about it. Well, maybe a few butts. Most of the animals at Wildwood had a pretty rough start in life. Many were rescued from factory farms, terrible abuse and neglect. Now, surrounded by love and good friends, they are free to be their sweet, sensitive, silly selves. Nothing makes the humans here happier than to see them engage in shenanigans and hijinks. About Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve Wildwood Farm Sanctuary & Preserve is an accredited, 501c3 farm animal sanctuary currently located in Newberg, Oregon. I joined Wildwood in 2019, and am so grateful I found this little slice of heaven, it has truly changed my life forever! Please join me in raising money to purchase a permanent, dedicated location for our sanctuary, and ensuring a lifelong home for our 90 residents. I am pledging to get a minimum of 10K steps each of the days, whether it’s from walking, hiking, or taking care of the sanctuary residents! I will also be participating in our onsite Goat Games, Saturday, August 13th! Team Wildwood is in it to win it! We’re counting on you to help us bring home the gold at the third annual Goat Games! Whatever sport you choose to do, be it running, hiking, biking or binging your favorite show, you’ll be raising much-needed funds for all the animals at Wildwood. Since 2012, we have provided a safe haven for abused and abandoned farmed animals. We are looking for a new property to continue our mission of promoting compassion and inspiring change.

I’m taking part in the 2022 Goat Games from Friday, August 12th through Monday, August 15th to help rescued farmed animals! The Goat Games is a virtual fundraiser for 13 animal sanctuaries across the country, and you can be a champion right where you live, work and play. I’ll be mooooo-ving to raise money for my favorite sanctuary and I’m asking for the support of friends and family to help me reach my goal! About Iowa Farm Sanctuary At Iowa Farm Sanctuary, we provide a safe haven to rescued farm animals in need of love and compassion while providing humans the opportunity to experience the unique sentience and intelligence found within these animals.

Hello family and Friends: I plan to help Wildwood (which is also my place of employment!) by pushing myself out of complacency and game mastering a number of hours of Dungeons and Dragons! Henceforth my pledge is to run a half-hour of gameplay for every $50 that are donated to my Goat Games athlete page! I have a goal of $1000 which means the potential for a full 10 hours of goofy roleplaying and desperately needed experience building behind the game master screen (most likely split up over the weekend)! My donors can look forward to sneak peeks of what adventures or modules I plan on running, pictures of my table top setup including battle maps and miniatures as well as insight into the mysterious but wildly misunderstood culture of Dungeons and Dragons! If you know me, you probably know that I volunteer at Wildwood, an animal sanctuary near my home. Wildwood has been such an amazing place to volunteer at because all of the animals are given such love and outstanding care. The grounds are absolutely stunning and visiting each week is always something I look forward to. All of the animals were rescued from the farming industry in one way or another - some were saved from being slaughtered for meat, others were saved from being tortured for eggs, and others were saved from being exploited for their wool. I have never met such happy and sweet animals as the ones at Wildwood. Even though some animals have only been at Wildwood for less than a year, they already have understood that they are safe and cared for and will approach you for treats or pets. I was devastated a few weeks ago when I heard the news that Wildwood would be closing down. However, due to the outpouring of love and support from the community, Wildwood has announced that they will be able to relocate the farm to a more viable property instead of having to close down! This means that all of the animals will get to stay together and live the rest of their lives with their friends they have become so close to. Now, Wildwood needs our help! We are about 1/4 of the way to affording a new property but we need to fundraise the rest in order to make this dream come true. If you’re able to pitch in even a few dollars, it would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help!
