At the Academic Literacies Center, we strive to create an environment that encourages participation, acceptance, and a willingness to ask questions. We need your help to continue our efforts. We provide free snacks to students so that they don't have to work on an empty stomach as well as tools such as whiteboards to allow for greater visual learning. We would like to further expand our services by purchasing affordable headphones for our center computers, tablets for a quicker check-in process, a program called NetTutor to continue supporting students after-hours, and a scholarship to help our tutors afford textbooks. The purpose of the Thumb Eleven Scholarship Fund is to provide a bridge between eleven greater thumb communities and Ferris State University. The scholarship fund provides an annual general scholarship award to students from the qualifying high schools to offset the direct expenses related to attending Ferris State.

This is the fundraiser for the Iota Psi Zeta of Lambda Chi Alpha to help offset the costs of school for the active brothers.

As the Chair of the Ferris State University Latin@ Alumni Association (FSULAA), it has been an honor to serve for the students and alumni. Established in 2022 by a group of students, the FSULAA helps bring current Latino students and alumni together to connect at networking and mentoring opportunities. I graduated in the Spring of 2021 with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Public Advocacy. As a recent graduate, there was a lack of Latino alumni presence within the Latino community at Ferris. The opportunity of becoming the Chair of the association had came to me where I knew there could be impactful and positive change for alumni and undergraduates. Throughout the past couple of years, the FSULAA has provided students mentorship programs which aim to provide guidance for personal and professional development. To ensure student success. The FSULAA has also brought out alumni across the state to connect and create a comfortable networking environment. With your gift, we can continue to create opportunities for students and alumni. International students provide diversity and cultural enrichment, research and innovation opportunities, and enrich the classroom by providing different perspectives not only on campus but in the greater community. Ferris State University is committed to growing international enrollment and providing this diverse perspective in the classroom. Contributing to this fund will assist in providing additional funding to incoming international students. Make a difference for an international student! Studying abroad can be a life changing experience that deeply affects how an individual views the world and their future career. Students who study abroad obtain cross communication skills, gain new skills, network and connect for future employment, and learn more about themselves and the world around them. They then bring those new skills and perspectives back to the campus classroom and provide diverse perspectives. This fund will provide funding opportunities for students going to study abroad and looking to earn academic credit in the world classroom!

The Ferris Cares Opportunity Scholarship was created to provide support to students encountering unexpected financial needs. We continue to expand the fund to include support for students facing challenges outside of tuition costs. Students receiving support have consistently commented that they may not have been able to graduate on time without the modest assistance provided by this fund.

The Motor City Bulldogs are raising funds for the Raymond L. Gant Higher Learning Scholarship. Our textbook scholarship is for a graduating high school student in the Metropolitan Detroit area that has been accepted into Ferris State University in the Fall of the current year.

We are seeking monetary contributions to initiate a student scholarship fund for students interested in our industry-leading Music and Entertainment Business program! This initiative enhances the student experience. With an initial lead gift from alumni Kim ('88) and Doug ('88) Hancock, plans are underway to renovate the lounge area and update furniture. Many students are in the Hagerman Pharmacy Building for 8 to 10 hours daily, in class or studying. This lounge will provide a spacious, comfortable and functional area for their hours spent while pursuing their degree.

The Malik Kingsby Scholarship is intended to provide opportunity to students who experience inequity or barriers to education because of racism and heterosexism (homophobia) and/or cissexism (transphobia). Malik Kingsby was a student staffer of the Ferris State University LGBTQ+ Resource Center and Williams Auditorium, the president of the Art History Club, and a member of Psi Sigma Kappa. His legacy includes warmth and inclusion of all students in every space he entered, service to QTBIPOC students, and campus-wide education about Two Spirit, same gender loving, and LGBTQ+ people of color.
