¡Hola! This is Spanish Professor Eric Warner and I am helping our Ferris-Costa Rica Study Abroad 2024 group fundraise to support their experience! This year, we have a record number of students who will be Studying Abroad in Costa Rica with Prof. Lucero Flores-Páez, a Costa Rican instructor, and me! We seek help to defer costs for students during the educational 4-week Spanish Immersion program where students take classes at Academia Tica and live with Spanish-speaking host families. Additionally, any fundraising during One Day for Dawgs will support excursions to museums, a coffee plantation, the Pacific & Caribbean Coasts, Costa Rican businesses, and sustainable tourist locations in the Talamanca region with the Bribri tribe, etc. Your support helps us to keep costs accessible for all students so they can continue to learn Spanish, and about Latin American culture and society through the lens of Costa Rica! Our impact upon return will allow our students to apply bilingual skills and intercultural competencies in their communities and future careers! Go Bulldogs!!! ¡Mil gracias! y ¡Pura vida!

UBUNTU: "I am because we are" This translation emphasizes the idea that our existence is intrinsically tied to our relationships with others. Our humanity is not isolated; it flourishes within the context of community and shared experiences. One Day for Dawgs is Ferris State University’s annual day of giving. This fundraising is designed to work as crowd sourcing. Any contribution gets our program closer to our goal and is sincerely appreciated by our staff and students. Consider forgoing stopping for coffee one day and donate those funds here. Your contribution will directly impact our current and future students. Look closely. We have our hand out but are merely asking for a hand up. The PGA Golf Management Program is raising funds to provide more access for students to participate in the following: PGA events such as industry shows: Annual PGA Show in Orlando Tournaments: Katke is hosting a northern Michigan chapter event which our students will have an opportunity to play in Our program has started 2 annual tournaments against other PGA Golf Management Schools: We will play against Eastern Kentucky this spring on April 13-14 at Hillcrest Country Club in Indianapolis Indiana. We will also be playing Penn State at a neutral location in the fall. Putting technology component to be added to Ken Janke Learning Center: SAM PuttLab One Day for Dawgs offers our alumni, friends and family the opportunity to be a part of our mission to make the college experience for our current and future students a transformational one. If you are unable to donate but want to find a way to contribute, please email Joe Hatch directly at hatchj1@ferris.edu. You can make an even bigger contribution to our program by finding one kid who is in love with the golf industry and encourage them to attend Ferris State University. I would be grateful if you would introduce these young men and women to our PGA Golf Management Program and let them know our mission. Thank you for joining Bulldogs everywhere in supporting Ferris State University on One Day For Dawgs as we raise funds to help us move Ferris Forward Together. Your gift today will provide critical support for the PGA Golf Management Program, and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity on this day of giving. Go Bulldogs!

Hi everyone, my name is Aleigha Mack, and I am currently a junior at Ferris State University. I am majoring in Marketing/International Business, and planning to minor in Spanish. I am in need of financial support to study abroad in Costa Rica, Spring/Summer 2024. I’m fundraising because I have recognized that I, and others, cannot do this process alone. I am a first-generation student working off campus jobs to support myself in college. I am very determined, having pushed through many difficult obstacles to be able to stay in University. For context, I have been learning Spanish since middle school, and I am currently needing that final push towards fluency, which is where study abroad comes into the picture! It has been my lifelong dream to study abroad in either Costa Rica! When I saw that I had the chance to pursue my dream, I took it; cost was not important. The program that I chose will give me an opportunity to take classes in Spanish, make meaningful connections, and experience everyday life in Costa Rica! ¡Pura Vida!

The Malik Kingsby Scholarship is intended to provide opportunity to students who experience inequity or barriers to education because of racism and heterosexism (homophobia) and/or cissexism (transphobia). Malik Kingsby was a student staffer of the Ferris State University LGBTQ+ Resource Center and Williams Auditorium, the president of the Art History Club, and a member of Psi Sigma Kappa. His legacy includes warmth and inclusion of all students in every space he entered, service to QTBIPOC students, and campus-wide education about Two Spirit, same gender loving, and LGBTQ+ people of color.

Hola! My name is Isabella Dykstra, but I go by Bella. The reason for this fundraiser is to help pay for a Study Abroad trip to Costa Rica through Ferris State University. This is a Faculty lead program starting May 9 to June 6. The cost will cover home stays with the natives, food, transportation, and tuition. While I am there, I will be studying at a 300 level Spanish course, as well as traveling around the country learning the culture, and sightseeing. A little about me: I am a Freshman at Ferris State University studying Dental Hygiene and Spanish for the Professions. I love the Spanish language, and I owe it all to my mom. Both my parents enrolled me in the Spanish Immersion program in school at an early age. I grew up speaking Spanish not just because it's a great language to learn but because my mom is Mexican, and she saw that it essensial for me to communicate with my family in Mexico. My future plans consist of getting both my degrees in Dental Hygiene and Spanish and becoming a travel Hygienist around America, including Central and South America. My hope is to be able to give back to the Hispanic community the best I can because it has given me culture, value, love, and belonging.

Support Ferris State Football 2x National Champions Ferris State Football team remains resilient and committed to their journey of growth and development. As they gear up for the upcoming season and the off-season, the team is reaching out for support to fuel their continued progress. One of the key areas where your contributions can make a significant impact is in nutrition. Proper nutrition is essential for the athletes' performance, recovery, and overall well-being. By raising funds for enhanced nutrition programs, the team aims to provide their players with the fuel they need to optimize their physical and mental capabilities on the field. Additionally, the team is seeking support to acquire Catapult technology, a cutting-edge system that will revolutionize their training approach. This innovative technology enables real-time tracking of the student-athletes' work effort, allowing coaches to monitor their performance metrics, assess workload management, and tailor training regimens to maximize efficiency and minimize injury risk. Your generosity will not only help the Ferris State Football team bridge the gap between their current state and their aspirations but will also empower them to reach new heights of excellence.
