Fund-a-Bear and help us make a child’s experience in our Emergency Department more “bear”able. Each month we see approximately 250 children in the USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Emergency Department. USC-VHH is an EDAP hospital – a designation of the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical System that certifies specific criteria for treating children such as the availability of pediatric equipment, ongoing pediatric training and policy development as well as physician coverage and a designated Pediatric Liaison Nurse. Additionally, 100% of our Emergency Department RN’s have EDP (Emergency Department Pediatric) certification. While our doctors and nurses provide world-class emergency medical care for the children of our community, a simple teddy bear goes a long way towards providing comfort during a scary and stressful event. Your gift not only provides relief to a child, but also supports ongoing pediatric ED patient needs. Thank you for your generosity!
