Update: With the support of over 479 individual donors whose donations are calculated in the progress bar above, plus the support we've received offline from our corporate sponsors, together, our community raised $41,798 to fight childhood hunger in the Tri-State! About the 24 Carrot Challenge
The 24 Carrot Challenge is a 24-day fundraising challenge to individuals, organizations, and businesses happening June 1-24, 2020. Our goal is to raise $24,000 (168,000 meals) by June 24th - a date that is a cause for celebration, as it is Tri-State Food Bank's anniversary.
Our push for support, as we head into the summer months, is to address the heightened food insecurity that happens in our communities when children who are on free and reduced lunch go on summer break. This need is now even greater in 2020 due to early school closures surrounding COVID-19 and an increased need for food relief in the Tri-State.
Tune in to Claire and the HOT96 Morning Show, and listen as Claire champions the effort to mobilize and energize the Tri-State to rally in support of families, children, and seniors in need. Our goal is to raise $24,000 in 24 days.
About Tri-State Food Bank
Tri-State Food Bank is a team of 20 employees and 1,300+ volunteers working to end hunger in our Tri-State Area. We acquire mass quantities of food and distribute it to pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens in 33 counties in IN, KY, and IL.
1 in 7 people in our Tri-State area (13.3%) are food insecure. 35,540 of them are children. Together, we provide 7 million meals per year to help fill this meal gap - focusing especially on our most vulnerable populations: children, seniors, and those living in rural communities.
Please join us in thanking our sponsors!
