Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles supporters within the Roman Catholic tradition began discussing ways in which they could unite the broader Catholic community to address the housing needs faced by our city’s low-income families. Since our beginning in 2014, the Catholic Coalition -- Comprised of Catholic parishes, schools, and organizations from across the LA Archdiocese -- has taken the initiative to raise funds and provide the volunteer labor to build seven homes in Culver City (1 home), Carson (1 ADU) and Long Beach (5 homes).
The partnership between the Catholic Coalition and Habitat LA is providing families another option to change the trajectory of their lives, and an ability to thrive by having a home of their own!
To cover some of the material costs of these projects, the Habitat LA Catholic Coalition is aiming to raise $150,000. Please consider joining the Habitat LA Catholic Coalition’s effort in reaching our goals to bring relief to low-income families in need.

*In the midst of COVID-19, Habitat LA’s efforts to continue to bring the community affordable housing has been deemed essential work. In lieu of volunteers coming out to the build sites, our construction team is working hard to help the families we’ve identified for these next 7 homes stick to the building timelines as best as we are able to provide.
