Chicana Latina Foundation (CLF) is a non-profit organization in Northern California that has supported first-generation college students, regardless of citizenship status, since 1977.
Three Chicana Latina women attending the University of California at Berkeley--Yolanda Ronquillo, Dr. Olga Terrazas, and Margaret Santos, who saw few women of color represented in higher education decided to take action by directly supporting Chicana Latina college students. Since then, CLF has provided scholarships, leadership development, alumnae network, and other social justice events/forums.
CLF is unapologetic in producing leaders considered “dangerous”, “hociconas”, “unladylike” and you’ve heard the litany of attacks. We remain steadfast in seeking social justice and equity. To recognize and celebrate the next 2020 cohort of awardees, we are hosting the Annual Awards Dinner (virtually, of course) on January 15, 2021.
Join us by making a donation or hosting a Comadre/Compadre virtual table for our 43rd Annual Awards Dinner! Every donation gives you access to stream our virtual event on January 15, 2021. We love to throw down the house, especially to honor our students and speakers. Be part of the legacy of love and success. We owe it to our community and students.
