The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) was established as an interdisciplinary academic program encompassing the liberal arts, education and social sciences focusing on the Mexican American and broader Latino experience in the U.S. CMAS's mission is to advance knowledge, promote critical thinking and foster the value of service through teaching, research and publications, recruitment and retention, leadership training, academic advising and community service.

The Academic Achievers Program (AAP) was established in the fall of 1994 with a mission to recruit, retain, and propel underrepresented students to graduation. Students who are accepted into the program receive a $12,000 four-year scholarship, mentorship, and career and leadership opportunities. Your gift helps the program provide unique experiences for these select students as they begin their journey to establishing a career.
