Amanda and her children were in danger ...
Amanda knew she had to leave her abuser. She and her 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter fled their home and made their way to Carol's House, CRC's emergency shelter. It was a difficult journey, but with safe shelter, healthy meals, therapy and legal advocacy, the family was able to start a new life. Amanda says, “I’m very grateful for the shelter, the classes, the counseling and support. It’s been a great blessing in our lives.”
For 40 years, Community Resource Center has provided life-changing transformation to people like Amanda. Last year, supporters like you helped:
- Feed the hungry: Each month, more than 450 households receive healthy food, nutrition education and services.
- House the homeless: Last year, 89 homeless individuals obtained housing and 2,059 case management sessions provided resources for families to become self-sufficient.
- Heal the hurting: Last year, 172 people found safety and healing from domestic violence through our emergency shelter and transitional housing.
Will you give hope to your neighbors in need and create futures free of violence, fear, hunger and homelessness?
