Thanks to you, Volunteers of America can shelter and house 1800 individuals and families every night in our region.
By your generosity, individuals like Maggie can have the family they have only dreamed of.
Maggie grew up in foster care being bounced from one home to another. She learned at an early age to never fully unpack her bag because she might not be there long. Maggie was a survivor and was resilient...she had to be.
She had never experienced unconditional love...until she found herself pregnant. The true love she felt for the little person growing inside of her was something she never felt.
Maggie was determined to give her newborn everything she didn't have. When she walked through the doors of Volunteers of America she was greeted like family, with a shoulder to cry on, an empathetic ear and the guidance to build a foundation she would need to make her dreams come true.
During the giving season, will you share a gift that will make an impact on a family that needs a helping hand? Your gift will provide the tools for a family to reach their full potential preparing them for sustainable housing and employment. I can't think of a more fitting way to celebrate the season than by helping someone in crisis. Your support enables us to do more than just provide shelter.
We work with each person to address their unique situation and then help them build a strong foundation so they can reach their full potential.
