Local Firefighter loses entire home in deadly CA Fires - Please Donate:
On Thursday November 8th, San Rafael Firefighter/Paramedic and Marin Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 1775 member, Colton Beal, was on duty protecting the citizens of Marin County when he received word that his neighborhood in Paradise, CA was under an evacuation order and threatened by the rapidly growing “Camp Fire”.
FF/PM Colton didn’t make it home in time and was notified by his girlfriend that she had made it out safely, with only the clothes she was wearing. The fire front pushed through rapidly, burning their residence and completely destroying all of his possessions leaving behind piles of ash, a mailbox and a chimney.
Colton not only suffered the loss of his residence, but those of several family members. Colton’s mother lost her residence.Colton’s father lost his residence. Colton’s sister lost her residence. In less than a twenty-four-hour period, Colton truly suffered the loss of the entire community he called home.
The “Camp Fire” has now burned more than 6,500 structures, having claimed nearly 50 lives, with over 200 still missing.
It is now the most destructive fire in state history. It has grown to more than 115,000 acres and is only at 30 percent containment.
Colton is now in need of our support so that he can begin to rebuild his life and support his family in this time of remarkable need and unprecedented loss.
Please partner with us in supporting Firefighter/Paramedic Colton Beal as he begins the long process of rebuilding all that he has lost.
