Founded in 1865, The Salvation Army has been supporting those in need for over 150 years in the United States. In Connecticut, thousands of people in need receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through a broad array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless, and opportunities for underprivileged children. Last year, support from loyal donors like you allowed us in Connecticut to:
• Serve 213,294 meals
• Assist children and families with 25,077 toys.
• Provide 8,115 people with referrals to other community resources.
• 14,603 cases served.
• 39,857 people served.
• 32,948 lodging nights provided.
