My parents met in the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. Dancing is in my genes. I regularly study classical ballet at Maryland Youth Ballet in Silver Spring, Maryland. I have performed ballet with groups around the country. I regularly perform classical and contemporary work at the Sun King Dance Camps at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. I will perform a piece taught by Christopher Hird, Director of Education and Principal of The Margaret Barbieri Conservatory of the Sarasota Ballet in Sarasota, Florida, at the Sun King Dance Camp in August, 2018. I have also studied and performed modern dance with the Johns Hopkins University Modern Dance Company for several years. I have performed modern dance with several groups in the region. On May 31, 2018, I performed with Dance Exchange, a modern dance company in Takoma Park, Maryland, From this place I see. . . co-directed by Elizabeth Johnson and Cassie Meador to Light of a clear blue morning by Dolly Parton (2018) (5:18-11:30 on http://www.kennedy-center.org/video/index/M66188) at the millennium stage of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.

Jim will be performing a ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreographed by Marius Peipa in 1890. Christopher Hird taught this version.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Maryland/ Southern Delaware Chapter

 I have a friend afflicted by this condition. I would like to donate my efforts to help individuals with these disorders.

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
