For some veterans, one of the hardest parts of the journey is after they return home and begin re-establishing their lives. They have traveled the world to protect our freedom, yet many local Veterans don’t have access to the most basic of needs. And no matter what the need, transportation is a critical part of getting access to life-changing assistance. If we can provide a Veteran with transportation to work, to food, to the doctor or other services that help them avoid a crisis, then we can get them on the road to something better.
That’s why United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and Kenny Ross are working together to help ensure that Veterans and their families have a way to access transportation. For every $100 donated to United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, a local veteran receives transportation for a month. That can be life changing for someone who doesn’t have regular access to things some of us often take for granted.
And during the month of September and October, Kenny Ross will be donating $10 dollars to United Way for every car sold in the month of September and October. You can join them and together, we can improve the lives of local Veterans and their families.
