For many La Salle Academy alumni, the greatest moments of their high school years were spent competing alongside their teammates on the field, track, or court. And while the storied past of La Salle’s athletics is deep-rooted in its renowned basketball program, our school has excelled in many sports, earning city championship titles in track & field, bowling, and baseball throughout its 172-year history.
La Salle’s rich athletics tradition persists today, despite strict social distancing guidelines to stem the spread of the coronavirus. While our students continue to be educated remotely through the second quarter of the academic year, the Cardinals are proudly representing La Salle under strict COVID-19 health regulations. Keeping our student-athletes healthy and safe is a top priority.
Perhaps more than any other time in recent memory, La Salle’s athletics program is in need for everyone to rally together to help our students. Please consider making a gift to La Salle’s athletic program this Giving Tuesday to offset our costs this season.
The money raised from this appeal will be used to purchase pandemic-induced items. We need additional cleaning supplies and personal protection equipment (PPE), as well as masks/gaiters for our athletic teams. Travel expenses have also increased to properly adhere to social distancing protocols.
We need your commitment to those who wear Cardinal red so they too can learn lessons that motivate their persistence and drive for success like many of the alumni who came before them.
Remember…You Are La Salle!
