Hi, I'm Caleb Carmichael.
I am the head cross country coach at the University of West Florida. I am the co-founder of the Rec Plex North Parkrun and I coach weekly track workouts for the Pensacola Runners Association. I am married with two children who also enjoy running!
Throughout this pandemic, one of the things people have been encouraged to do is to get it out and exercise. We are all dealing with this in different ways and some are doing better than others.
Many people have lost their jobs and now are left wondering how they can make ends meet.
I'm fundraising for Feeding the Gulf Coast because they do amazing work, and I'm inviting friends like you to support my campaign. I’m raising money to help people try and get back on their feet.
To do this, I have decided to run one marathon each day for 7 days. That’s 7 marathons and 186.2 miles over a 7 day period!
Join my campaign and help Feeding the Gulf Coast fight hunger!
A message from Feeding the Gulf Coast
Feeding the Gulf Coast is on the frontlines addressing the growing needs of those in our community impacted by this national health crisis. We are working tirelessly to reach children, families, and seniors at risk of going hungry during this time of uncertainty. Since this crisis began we have seen a more than 1,000% increase in people seeking food assistance.
The need is URGENT. You can help.
In addition to feeding 6,000 children per day who miss meals due to school closures, we are also distributing emergency food boxes to families in need, including vulnerable populations at a heightened risk of complications due to the virus.
Even as our hunger relief efforts increase, the need for food assistance has nearly doubled. This unprecedented public health crisis has affected many people’s ability to feed their families as paychecks are missed due to quarantines and businesses closing.
Your gift today will help bring hope to the hungry.
As our resources and staff are stretched to capacity, your support is needed more than ever. Please give now to help those struggling with hunger - and let them know they are not alone.
For every $25.00 raised, we can provide 125 meals to individuals and families in need.
Thank you for your support and thank you, Caleb, for running the distance to help those in need!
WHO IS FEEDING THE GULF COAST?
