Former golfer, Gary Solomon, is teaming up with Coach Jeff Lorio and his student-athletes to raise the remaining funds needed for an indoor golf practice facility.
For every donation made through August 15th, Mr. Solomon has agreed to match it – dollar for dollar – up to $10,000. We need your support today to help us reach this goal.
UNO Golf – History of Success
Historically, Golf at UNO has enjoyed a tradition of success including owning the only two national championships in Privateer history. Under the charge of Coach Jeff Lorio, and his team of dedicated and talented student-athletes, UNO Golf aims to regain its rightful place as the premier golf program in the Southland Conference.
All Privateer student-athletes are challenged with achieving success in and out of competition. Last spring, the golf team members collective GPA was 3.4 with majors including: Accounting, Business Administration, Psychology, Finance, and Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration. Additionally, team members collectively served our community with a total of 360 service hours with organizations including Son of A Saint, Fore!Kids Foundation, the Blood Center, and Read Across America.
Your contribution - your IMPACT
Coach Jeff Lorio and his team have raised nearly $30,000 for a state-of-the-art indoor practice facility, standard for most golf teams in the conference and $20,000 is still needed to complete the project. The facility will have everything needed for our student-athletes to improve their game and compete at the Championship level.
Your support to the Privateer Solomon Golf Challenge will allow us to complete the project, which will include 800 square feet of greens and a hitting bay equipped with the latest technology from ForeSight Sports.
Remember, your contribution today will be doubled by former UNO golfer, Gary Solomon. Thank you, Mr. Solomon, and thank you to the UNO Golf community for rising to the Privateer Solomon Golf Challenge!
