In recent years, the New Orleans Women’s Volleyball teams have enjoyed much deserved notoriety.  In 2015, head coach, Millicent Van Norden was named the LA Sportswriters Coach of the Year.  In 2018, Ehize Omoghibo was named Newcomer of the Year and we received 1st and 2nd team selections between the Southland Conference and LSWA.  In indoor we had the 3rd largest win-loss turn around in program history and garnered NCAA recognition while being ranked in aces per set. All while adding four athletes to the all-time list of statistical leaders at UNO

The New Orleans Volleyball program is not just about what happens on the court.  In six years have added 53 student-athletes to the Southland Commissioners Honor Roll and we have graduated 21 student-athletes from our indoor and beach programs.  Both teams have earned the national AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) All-academic team awards with beach leading the way with a 3.7 GPA and indoor closely chasing with a 3.4.

Our beach volleyball program was voted into the top 25 on three separate occasions last season.  We were also honored to receive the AVCA Top Flight award for our record-setting duo, Rachel Kuhn and Veronica Corcoran, who are also our single season wins record holders.

Today we ask that you join us in this trajectory of success by giving to the 2019 “Success is Now” Volleyball Challenge.  Funds raised during the challenge will not only support our amazing student-athletes but also help us in our recruiting efforts as we forge ahead.  Your contribution between now and December 15th will allow us to make needed upgrades to facilities used specifically by our Volleyball programs as well as program enhancements that our current student-athletes deserve.  We hope that you support us by becoming an intricate part of our success now and for the future. Go Privateers!
