Hi, we’re the Plymouth State Boardin’ Club, and we need your help to raise money to complete the town skatepark!
The Skatepark of Plymouth has been an ongoing project since 2009. With the help of generous donors, dedicated community leaders and hard-working contributors, we’ve managed to expand and continuously add to the skatepark, but it we’ve outgrown our quaint little concrete slab of heaven. As the admissions at Plymouth State have grown, so too has our skateboard community. On an average day, you’ll find about 20 skateboarders using the park. While this is great, (the more the merrier!) we’d love to provide Plymouth and the surrounding community with the park it deserves.
In donating to the park, you’d be helping provide both a creative outlet and a much-needed space for recreation and exercise- all of which benefit the student body here, and the community at large.
The Plymouth Boarding Club holds an annual skate competition around Halloween aimed at raising money to improve the park, to increase awareness of its importance and, of-course, to have a good time. Through this, we’ve been able to raise a little money, but it’s not enough to get us to our goal. We’d like to raise up to $10k, but any contribution would be greatly appreciated; something is better than nothing. Thank you for your consideration and your donation! We hope to see you at our skate-competition.
PS: There will be candy, and a prize for the best costume.
*The Plymouth Boarding Club is a group of enthusiastic students who are passionate about snowboarding and skateboarding. Each year, we hold public movie premiers, skate competitions, a snowboard “rail-jam”, a weekend trip to Jay Peak, and foster a network of students who share a love for skateboarding and snowboarding.
