Hello from Exit 25,
I'm excited to return to Plymouth State University as the new head Wrestling Coach. My name is Eric Bergeron, '11, I was a 4-year member of the PSU Wrestling team.
Wrestling is the ultimate trial of sacrifice and discipline. This is what Plymouth State Wrestling provides:commitment to developing excellence in individual and team performance through balance and strength in the classroom and in competition. Our goal is the development of the whole person, and we work to balance our efforts in the classroom, in competition, and in our community.
Support from friends and family inspire us to give our best in the classroom and on the mat. It also helps our team with expenses that are not fully covered by the athletics operating budget. Our fundraising priorities this year are:
Pride: Building team identity – We all appreciate matching team travel gear such as jackets, sweats, practice gear, and bags, which we purchase on our own. Your support keeps our costs low as we strive to build our identity as a group.
Training: Purchasing enhanced training gear such as medicine balls, resistance bands, and agility ladders for us to train in and out of season.
Tradition: Our annual year-end banquet. Each year we celebrate our team’s success and honor our senior class.
-Head Gear- $70
-Medicine Balls- $75
-Training Apparel - $125
-Travel Bag- $60
-IPad for Practice and athlete analysis - $500
-End of the Season Team Celebration and Awards - $500
-Champions Banners for Past New England Champs, All-Americans and Scholar All Americans- $600 Per Banner
As we continue to explore new ways to enhance the student-athlete experience at Plymouth State, we’ve realized success on the mat and in the classroom cannot be achieved alone. Support from you, our friends and family advances the legacy of Panther Wrestling.
Your gift directly benefits every member of our team. I’m grateful for your commitment to the Panther Wrestling team.
