From November 15-24, People’s Theatre Project is raising $50,000 to provide full scholarships to all 130 Academy students in this critical year.

ABOUT THE PTP ACADEMY
The PTP Academy develops the next generation of compassionate and creative leaders. Since its inception, we have successfully provided full scholarships for all students—thanks to the incredible support of our community and funding partners.
PTP Academy students grow in self-awareness, self-confidence, self-determination, and practice being inclusive, creative, and collaborative leaders — and all this through theatre!
Each year, PTP Academy students:
- Attend weekly classes led by immigrant artists of color
- Participate in workshops with partners like New York Theatre Workshop
- Get connected to important resources and opportunities for their wellbeing
- Explore the city through theatrical excursions
- Meet with special guests including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karen Olivo, and Nelson Cruz
- Create, produce, and perform original theater in an annual festival
