#Prepare2ROAR is more than a call to action. It's a statement to Idaho State student-athletes that the entire Bengal community has their back, especially during these challenging times.

Idaho State Athletics is excited to launch #Prepare2ROAR – a comprehensive fund drive that will kick off on Monday, October 26 and run through Friday, November 6. The goal of the campaign is to engage current and past individual sport club donors as well as former student-athletes.

During these uncertain times which have included budget cuts across the board, support from alumni, donors, and the community is critical as it helps every Bengal team continue to train and prepare for competition.

#Prepare2ROAR will focus on fundraising for Idaho State's nine individual sport clubs (listed below), the Champions Fund, and the Football Alumni Team Scholarship Endowment.

    Quarterback Club – Football

    Caddie Club – Golf

Caddie Club donations directly support Idaho State Golf and they are essential to the success of the program. Last year, Caddie Club donations helped purchase BirdieBall indoor putting greens, mirrors, and mat accessories, six embroidered Ping golf bag travel cases for air travel, and funding for travel, equipment, and team apparel. This fall, Coach Atkins is seeking donations to help offset the costs of two indoor simulators that will allow the team to train year-round no matter what weather SE Idaho brings.

    Keeper Club – Soccer

Keeper Club donations directly support Idaho State Soccer and they are essential to the success of the program. Last year, contributions to Soccer helped purchase Beyond Pulse heart rate and GPS monitors to improve student-athlete health and performance, an iPad to efficiently analyze the team’s performance, and weighted PUGG goals to increase productivity in training sessions on any surface, which are durable and flexible and nearly impossible to break. Coach Brereton is seeking donations to help fund upgrades to the beautifully renovated Davis Field including barrier netting so the team is able to train at the same time as Track and Field.

    On Deck Circle – Softball

On Deck Circle donations directly support Idaho State Softball and they are essential to the success of the program. Last year, contributions to Softball helped purchase two pitching machines, 20 dozen balls, and team parkas for training and competing in whatever weather SE Idaho brings. Coach Brown is seeking donations to build her support base as she sets the tone for the future of Bengal Softball. Items needed immediately include new uniforms for the 2021 season and an Easton Double Barrel GHOST -10 bat for each team member.

    Ace Club – Tennis

Ace Club donations directly support both tennis programs and they help offset the cost of much needed improvements. This year, Coach Free and Coach Maloney plan on utilizing Ace Club funds to resurface the courts and to update the logos around the facility, including new logo screens that go on the nets during matches. In addition, the men’s program hopes to purchase a new stringing machine and the women are looking to upgrade their equipment including new shoes and outfits for the team.

Winged Foot Club – Track and Field / Cross Country

Winged Foot Club donations directly support Idaho State Track and Field / XC and they are essential to the success of the program. Last year, contributions to Track and Field / XC helped purchase 50 new hurdles which were critical as the Bengals hosted the Big Sky Conference Championships. Funds also allowed for upgrades to Centennial Course that included much needed maintenance and widening of the course, and event indicator boards and computers were purchased to provide live results. These have been needed for a long time and represented a major upgrade to meet management, as well as student-athlete and fan experience.

    Match Point Club – Volleyball

Match Point Club donations directly support Idaho State Volleyball and they are essential to the success of the program. Last year, contributions to Volleyball allowed Coach Stuart to purchase a state-of-the-art HUDL video exchange and practice video storage. In addition, new couches were made possible for the team room in an effort to give the players a “home away from home” when studying and spending time with each other. This year, an anonymous donor has offered an exciting match for the program! All donations through the #Prepare2ROAR campaign up to $7,000 will be matched dollar for dollar.

    Strength and Conditioning

Help our 300+ Bengal student-athletes behind the scenes with a donation to Strength & Conditioning. This fund is utilized year-round by Head Strength Coach Dan Ryan and his staff to provide student-athletes with state-of-the-art equipment, personalized training software, and pre and post workout nutrition. The Jared Allen Strength & Conditioning Center is where it all starts for your favorite Idaho State teams and support to the strength program helps fuel the Bengals as they prepare to compete for championships in the Big Sky Conference.

    Champions Fund

Now in Year 2, the Champions Fund provides support for the Department of Athletics in areas of greatest need that advance our mission of leading the Big Sky Conference academically, athletically, and in the culture and experience available for Bengal student-athletes. Donations to the Champions Fund are used at the discretion of the Athletic Director, and will help the Bengals compete for and win championships by providing student-athletes and coaches with the essential tools they need.

    Bengal Athletic Boosters

The BAB provides financial support in the form of scholarships. Membership is critical to funding the over $3 million in scholarships awarded to Bengal student-athletes each year. These scholarships are the foundation of intercollegiate athletics at Idaho State, and even more importantly, they help change the lives and futures of student-athletes who receive them. Membership benefits include priority seating in Holt Arena and Reed Gym, game day parking passes, one-on-one meals with head coaches, and more!

    Football Alumni Team

The Football Alumni Team, known as F.A.T., started in 1999 with a group of former Bengal football players who wanted to have a great time tailgating before each home game while raising funds to help the ISU Football program. To this day, the mission remains the same – To promote and support Idaho State Football! The F.A.T. fundraising goal for 2020 and beyond is to raise enough funds to endow a football scholarship and to provide $50,000 per year for football summer school scholarships. With the cancellation of the 2020 F.A.T. golf tournament due to the pandemic, alumni support is more important now than ever.

All #Prepare2ROAR donations are tax deductible and will receive a gift receipt from the Idaho State University Foundation. To make a gift over the phone, please contact Associate Athletic Director for Development Joel Moersch at (208) 282-4503 or [email protected].
