WWE Superstar, Sami Zayn has teamed up with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) Foundation to provide life-saving medical care to conflict-affected populations in northwest Syria, including thousands of people displaced by nearly 11 years of conflict. Your support for Sami's campaign has made a world of difference!
Thanks to donor like you, SAMS launched the SAMI FOR SYRIA Mobile Medical Clinic, a specially modified vehicle, fully equipped with examination rooms, medical equipment, staffed by a physician, midwife, nurse, pharmacy technician, data entry, and the driver. All services are provided free of charge.
Nearly 3 million Syrians have been forcibly displaced in northwest Syria, with many families and children living in tents or makeshift housing with limited access to food, running water, sanitation, electricity, and heat, all of which make them vulnerable to disease and hunger. With your support, Sami's mobile clinic is delivering urgently needed medical services, free of charge to families and children who have no other way to access the medical care they need.
The SAMI FOR SYRIA Mobile Clinic provides medical services in eighteen internal displacement camps crowded with internally displaced persons (within a radius of 10-12 KM from Hazano Primary Health Center in northwest Syria). These camps are almost visited on a bi-weekly basis.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, Sami's mobile clinic provided 7,143 consultations for 6,743 internally displaced persons, between October 1, 2020 and November 30, 2021.  In addition to the vaccination of mobile clinic personnel, SAMS continues to provide the needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for both mobile clinic staff and beneficiaries, apply social distancing, Infection Prevention Control (IPC) measures and monitor the adherence to wearing masks, and disinfection of surfaces.
During a recent trip to one of the camps, we met 68-year-old Fayez, a displaced person from the southern countryside of Idlib. He told us: “We were displaced 3 years ago and settled in muddy agricultural land on the outskirts of Kafr Deriyan. Because of the heavy rains, most of our tents were destroyed. Luckily, the clinic arrived in time. It is the only clinic that has reached us to provide services to camp residents."
Mustafa Ahmed, a beneficiary, explained how important Sami's Clinic is to his family, "Because of the poverty in our areas, we wait for the clinic scheduled visit to our village to seek medical care for our family members. The nearest medical point is 35 km from our villages. The clinic saves us from the need to travel and pay for transportation to reach a health center, as well as the cost of treatment that we receive in this clinic for free."
Our work is not done. We need your help to continue operating the Sami for Syria Mobile Clinic. We still have to pay for medications, medical supplies, fuel, warehouse rent and other operational needs. Help Sami and SAMS bring urgently needed medical care to families and children impacted by the crisis in Syria. Whether you contribute $5 or $500, every little bit helps.  Donors outside the US may contribute here: DONATE TO SAMS and select Mobile Clinic. The Syrian crisis is one of the worst humanitarian emergencies of our time.  Caught in the crosshairs of ongoing conflict, mass displacement, and now a global pandemic, nearly 4 million vulnerable Syrians - including nearly 3 million people displaced by conflict - are at particularly higher risk of injury, disease, food insecurity, and hunger.

Since 2011, SAMS has been on the frontlines of this crisis, delivering nearly 20 million medical services and $207 million in vital humanitarian aid to vulnerable individuals in Syria, neighboring countries and beyond. SAMS provides a full-range of healthcare services, including emergency and trauma care, ICU services, reproductive health care, cancer treatment, mental health services, dialysis, physical rehabilitation and much more. All services are provided free of charge.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SAMS has launched a robust mechanism to prepare and protect its patients and medical workers, establishing (5) COVID-19 isolation and treatment centers and providing life-saving medical care to COVID-19 patients.
The SAMI FOR SYRIA mobile medical clinic is a lifeline for displaced Syrian families, especially for those who live outdoors in internal displacement camps, without access to proper shelter, sanitation, electricity, and running water. Thank you for your generous gift!
