Our Scholarship Programs
USC Trojan League of Los Angeles (TLLA) celebrates excellence in our community and supports current students at the University of Southern California (USC). Each year, we award scholarship funds to USC students from our local area. TLLA has funded many scholars for over six decades. TLLA and its’ members has donated to the USC Marshall School of Business - Masters of Business for Veterans, the USC Keck School of Medicine, the USC Spirit of Troy Marching Band, the Dean Joan M. Schaefer scholarships among other programs within the University. In addition, we award two types of scholarships each year:
The USC Trojan League of Los Angeles Joseph Patrick Allen Endowed Scholarship was established in 2001 to commemorate the life and memory of Joe Allen who served as Vice Provost of Enrollment Services at USC from 1993 to 2001. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding students in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences for their junior year and can be renewed by applying again for their senior year.
The USC Trojan League of Los Angeles Trojan Tribute Scholarship (established 2018), is a scholarship is in honor of three of TLLA’s members who served as the USC Alumni Association’s Board of Governors Past Presidents: Phyllis Norton Cooper, Lorna Young Reed and Michele Dedeaux Engemann. Scholarships are awarded to a junior for their senior year.
With your support, TLLA can continue its great scholarship tradition. Every gift, no matter the amount, has a lasting impact to our USC students.
Final candidates for both scholarships are interviewed by the TLLA Scholarship Committee.
