Double Your Impact on #GIVINGTUESDAY!
SCHEELS will match your gift (up to $2,500 total) made prior to December 1st.
A small investment in our children today will pay a lifetime of dividends!
Learning begins when a child is born and if we are to give a child the best opportunity for success and happiness then we need to promote learning at an early age. To help our community children have positive developmental opportunities, we introduced Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our community in 2011.
Through your generosity, we provide one book each month to children throughout our community from birth to age 5 whose parents enrolled them. Since we started the program more than 125,000 books have been delivered to the homes of local children.
These sturdy, colorful, age appropriate books are delivered directly to the child. Each book, along with family engagement activities, is selected for the developmental benefits it brings - and for the fun. There is no charge, fee or donation required or expected to enroll. The program is open to every child, because we believe every child deserves the opportunity for a more hopeful future.
Unfortunately, hundreds of children are still waiting for their first monthly book and we need your help.
Your gift, even the smallest one, will have a tremendous impact on families and futures, and with your gift, you will be helping parents and children begin a lifelong journey of learning together.
How your gift helps:
By giving a gift of reading in the amount of $25.00 you will be providing a full year of new books and family engagement activities to a child in our community.
At a cost of just a little more than $2.00 for each book, imagine the difference a $100, $250 or $500 gift could make.
This holiday season consider giving the gift of reading to a child in our community. Your gift, no matter how large or small can make a real difference. CLICK HERE to make a gift of reading.
