Mike Lowe, a reporter for Chicago's WGN-TV, is participating in the Chicago Triathlon in August 2021. As he trains, Mike is raising funds for the American Heart Association in honor of his colleague Erin Ivory, who is battling heart issues.

Erin, a busy mother of four, a former triathlete and a reporter at WGN, was diagnosed with the condition after experiencing pain in her chest and abnormal readings from several EKGs, which measure heart rhythm. She shared her story earlier this year in hopes that it inspires other people to pay attention to their hearts.
