About Sunrise Day Camp
The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp brings back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings. Being a day camp allows children who are in active treatment to continue with their home doctors and enjoy the comfort of sleeping in their own beds each night. In addition to a summer day camp, the JCC also provides year-round support to the camper and his/her family through the Sunrise Experience program.
Recognizing the extraordinary financial demands that a child’s chronic illness can have on a family, Sunrise Day Camp and Year-Round Programs are always offered free of charge.
Sunrise Day Camp is operated by the JCC of Staten Island in collaboration with Catholic Charities of Staten Island on the campus at Mount Loretto.
