We are now working to improve the Idaho State University Cross Country Course by planting grass around the start/finish area of the course. This requires us to install an irrigation system to sustain the new grass area, which will be maintained by the campus staff in the future.

In addition, our aim is to construct a permanent finish line arch to designate the historic and permanent location of the finish line. Nationally recognized cross country courses like Wisconsin's Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course and the Indiana State's LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, both of which have hosted the NCAA XC Championships, feature a permanent finish line. These improvements will help the ISU Centennial Course live up to its standing in the NCAA as one of the only on-campus, purpose-built cross country courses in the nation. It will also expand the meeting and hosting opportunities including Big Sky Championships and future high-level high school meets.

We need your help to make this happen. Please consider donating online and sharing this campaign on social media. This renovation will be a real game-changer for our program. Thank you for your support.

ISU Cross Country

Originally constructed in 2002, the Idaho State Centennial Cross-Country Course is a valuable asset to the men’s and women’s cross country programs, as well as the entire Southeast Idaho community. Annually the course hosts many great NCAA, high school and community races and it provides invaluable trails as a refuge for the residents and visitors of our community. The facility adds to the amazing natural beauty of the region and provides areas for recreation and exercise.
