Send a Child to Camp!

Help a child have a summer they will never forget at the Anthropology Museum’s Summer Camp Program.  The museum’s camp is a unique program in our community that provides hands-on experience with artifacts to learn about history, science, art, culture and geography in a museum setting.

Many families cannot afford to provide these kinds of enrichment experiences that plant educational seeds for the future.  Studies have shown that early access to college campus programs is crucial to higher education aspirations.

Your support will directly enrich a child’s life now and into the future!

  • Campers will learn about the solar system through the lens of Star Wars or participate in an archaeological excavation.
  • Lessons are developed and prepared by the Museum curator in consultation with the student's teachers.
  • Camp is taught by experienced classroom teachers.
  • The museum received an Educational Excellence award for its programs in 2016 from the California Superintendent of schools.
  • The camp is 4 weeks long – from July 9 2018 – August 3 2018
  • Campers are ages 5-11 years old.
  • Sign-up for camp begins in April.
  • The museum will follow up with sponsors, sharing what campers learned!
