Give to the Aaron Drange Scholarship
Aaron Drange wanted to do only one thing: make music. His dream was cut short when he passed away, but his memory, hopes, and dreams live on through the Aaron Drange Memorial Scholarship. Your gift to this special scholarship supports students majoring in music who share Aaron’s passion for making and sharing music.
Every Dollar Counts
Your generous gift of any amount will put us one dollar closer to endowing this special scholarship, and doubling the annual scholarship, while still maintaining the fund in perpetuity.
Through hard work, friends, family, and alumni have raised $20,000, but we are $5,000 short of reaching our goal of $25,000 to endow the scholarship.
$1,000 will support a scholarship for a deserving music major.
Will you help us reach our goal?
Aaron was a recording arts major who sang, played piano and saxophone, and recorded his own music with earnestness and sincerity. He led a pop-jazz combo called The Upstairs Neighbours along with his twin brother, Phillip, and other classmates. When he wasn’t uploading his own originals or covers to YouTube, Aaron dedicated his time to a number of campus ensembles, including Jazz X-Press, A Cappella Choir, Chamber Singers, and Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
Aaron’s family established this scholarship to honor his passion for, and dedication to music, by providing support to music students at Chico State. Gifts to the Aaron Drange Memorial Scholarship will foster the commitment and joy he had for music, and will preserve his memory and spirit.
Aaron will be missed but not forgotten.
