Zimbabwe is home to the world’s second largest population of African elephant, which places a massive responsibility on all of us to make sure that population numbers remain healthy across the Zambezi Valley, as the serious threat of poaching of elephants, and other keystone species is ever-present.
The Zambezi Elephant Fund is working with local authorities, as well as a collaborative group of implementing partners across the Zambezi Valley to maintain a strong anti-poaching presence and continue with downward trend in poaching incidents.
Last year, thanks to your superb fundraising efforts, we were able to surpass our $150,000 target. This year we want to aim even higher, to raise $250,000 towards our 2020 budget priorities before the end of the year! This will allow us to continue vital anti-poaching activities, and maintain our successes in tackling illegal wildlife crime. Additionally, we would also like to focus on education in 2020, to increase national awareness of Zimbabwe's unique pristine wilderness, and its significant national heritage.
Will you stand up for elephants this year, and help us to raise our target?
